We arrived at the hotel Saturday 16th march at around 11 it is hard to find as there are no signs just a little square board on the front of the building. However they alowed us to check in at 11 with not probs straight up to the room which was very clean. Bathroom was the same only issue was you couldn't have a shower as such u had to hold the shower head. The only other complaint was there is no where to get a cup of coffee in the hotel you had to walk to the nearest McDonald's or Starbucks. So the room was okay for us I have seen other reviews saying about the bad bed but ours was very comfy. Breakfast was okay you have a basket full of croissants and Danishes you have you cerial (corn flakes) and you can have tea, coffee, orange juice or apple juice. Staff were friendly only issue we had was the cleaners came to clean the room about 8oclock in the morning so make sure you put your do not disturb sign outside or you will be woken up earlier, and finally the lift is abit of a pain it only seems to be able to process one job at a time for example if it is on floor seven with someone in it won't pick you up on the way down it will drop the person off first then come back up for you, we waited about 10 mins for the lift once, but overal we were pleased with the hotel.

Avoid this hotel at all cost. Very expensive and definately not worth the money. The mattress was very thin, hard and lumpy. I slept the second night in my clothes on top of the dooner to give the bed more padding. The taps in the bath were falling out of the wall and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. The only good point about this place is the receptionist who is very helpful and I think the only member of staff who can speak English.

Room Tip: Don't stay here

We've recently arrived back from an amazing 5 night stay in Paris in this lovely hotel. We were a bit worried about it being such a good price but don't be! The staff were really friendly and polite and spoke English very well. The room was clean, had a flat screen tv, high pressure shower, bath, double bed, and it was thoroughly cleaned every day. The breakfast was lovely, croissants, pastries, breads, cheeses, fruit, cereal, yoghurt - plenty of choice. The hotel is right next to the metro and near most attractions. Would definitely recommend! :)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 108.

A great location 50 metres from the argentine metro station,on line 1 this is brilliant to reach anywhere in the centre of paris.excellent bistros and restaraunts on the surrounding streets. The arc de triumphe is just around the corner. The hotel is well signed and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little tired and dated but clean and a very good base for exploring the city. Yes you have to use a key to lock the room door but its not a problem, I do at home! The only negative would be there is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.I would not have a problem to reccommended this hotel to anyone
If you want to stay in the hotel room on holiday don't stop here , but to sleep and explore the city this is an ideal base

Some days ago I went to Paris and I made the mistake to stay there. First of all outside of the hotel the name is Centre Ville and no Fertel Etoile so you have to ask if it is the right hotel. Secondly the breakfast is extremely poor imagine that I asked instant coffee and not only they didn΄t have but also they made ironic comments in French. Of course they stopped only when I told them that I speak French, and the place where you take the breakfast is not the same picture that they show. Also the man receptionist is very rude and he watces all your steps When you go down to take the breakfast there are two black women who are supposed to work in the kitchen but they watch what you eat or tell and then they go upstairs to report to the receptionist.

A great Location Literally 50yds from Argentine Metro station on Line 1 of the metro (same line as the louvre, arc de triumph, etc. Walking distance of many great restaurants around the surrounding streets.

The rooms were of a decent standard, nothing special, and what you would expect from any hotel. Cleaned daily, no complaints.

Breakfast was a continental breakfast, served between 07:00 and 10:00 in the room downstairs, many cafes etc around the area sell a more english breakfast if you prefer.

Again, great location for exploring Paris, shop across the road sells general supermarket stuff, handy if you forgot to pack anything.

English speaking staff on reception, with plenty of advice for good places to visit, eat etc.

A good base for exploring paris, but not for those who intend to spend a lot of tiume in the hotel i think.
