“Very comfy, clean, affordable”
Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

We stayed with our 6 year old child for 5 nights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room (triple) was very small, but it was clean, tidy, and what we needed. Temperature was warm, bedding comfortable. Continental breakfast was included, yummy baskets of baguettes and croissants, jams, toast, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, spreads and a coffee machine was a great addition! Convenient to many cafés, restraints, laundromat, metro, arc de triumph and shopping!

A small, typically Parisienne hotel, ideally placed just behind the Ave Wagram. Very pleasant helpful staff, warm room, quiet. Wi-fi and mobile coverage fine, and there is a computer and printer available for guests' use. Can recommend, ideal for a Paris visit or business, but not if you are looking for something luxe.

Room Tip: A view over the street will give you a true Parisienne experience.

The reception was good, but the room was too small for our expectation, we were disappointed especially by the bathroom, if you are a little bit fat, you cannot take a shower in it. The breakfast was fine, typically French. Other than this, the location is calm and close to everything, Arc de triomphe, champs Elysees... Many bistro and good restaurant in the area.

People always complain about the size of rooms in Paris. This was not something we had any trouble with here. I know Paris and I know hotel rooms are never massive (unless you want to pay a massive price!). Our room was spot on for the two of us and it represented excellent value for money.

The bathroom was a great size, again very clean and well decorated, and the shower was just fantastic; also a good size with lots of room to maneuver.

The breakfast was a continental one but there was a great variety on offer and we always left each morning full and very satisfied.

The hotel itself was very clean and well decorated, the courtyard was a lovely little space and the location was excellent. 5 minutes walk and you're at the Arc de Triomph (possibly even less). It took us 10-15 minutes walking at a steady pace to get from the Trocadero to the hotel. There was a wide range of places available to eat and drink around the hotel too, with places to suit all budgets.

The location was also nice and quiet. And we loved the patisserie right over the road. The bread and cakes from there were utterly divine. There's also a bistro right next door.

The staff in the hotel were always very pleasant and helpful and overall I can't think of a bad thing to say about our stay.

Room Tip: We were given room 7 and the worse thing about it was that it was right next to the reception so occ...

As some of the other reviews say, great location and acceptable amenities for the price. Nothing romantic or exciting but fine for what we paid. Breakfast is acceptable for the price but the bfast room is very small. Staff delightful, very helpful. Rooms are small but not for Paris, pretty standard. I would prefer a more 'typique' old style hôtel for Paris but that would probably cost more ! A few weird drain smells in the bathroom

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the internal courtyard

Best point of this hotel is the location. Max 10 min by foot to Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. If you go there only for sleeping, it's the perfect hotel. There's nothing else to do. Very tiny rooms (you can hardly move from one side to another) and quite smelly. But if you go to the room late at night, tired and you leave early in the morning there shouldn't be a problem. Another little disadvantage would be the breakfast room. Also very small and crowded. But again: grab a coffee and a croissant and go.
However I do recommend this hotel for a long weekend to visit Paris.

Rooms are tiny. I swear we had to walk sideways to be able to move...i remember everytime i sit on the end of the bed my legs were inside the bathroom.. thats how close the bed is to the bathroom.. we were 2 in a room.. there was no room for our luggage. funny thing our room was a tripple room.. we had rom 001.. rooms are to close that people complained about us while we were just talkin normaly with the same everyday tone and voice lol.. we were close to the drainage system.. i swear everytime i enter the room or get out i feel like throwing up.. it stinks..I could actually hear the drainage through the pipes while standing outside in the garden.. i honestly havent been in a room where u use a key for the safe... or even keys for the room itself.. and they ask you to leave the key so the maid could actually be able to go in the room n clean it..staff are friendly to be honest.. there are variety of food in the breakfast which we liked. there is a small garden inbetween the rooms on the ground floor.. with stairs that takes u up to the 1st floor..

Room Tip: don't go for room 001 0r 002

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
WITHIN CLOSE DISTANCE FROM THE REKNOWN CHAMPS ELYSEES COME TO QUIET, YET MODERN PLACE The hotel is set in a construction dating back to the early twentieth century and surrounded by typical buildings of Haussmann architecture in the 17th arrondissement. While being just a ten-minute walk away from the Arc of Triumph and the Champs-Elysees Avenue, this 40-bedroom contemporary hotel entails an enclosed garden, a bar, a 24h-around-the-clock front desk and offers cosiness and refinement in every room. In 2013 the hotel underwent revamping and inspiration was taken out of Flaubert’s novels (There’s a Flaubert street nearby). Look all around you and you are bound to see famous quotes inspired by his many journeys in the East, Brittany, Corsica and England. The enclosed garden is a vivid reminder of Flaubert’s original garden of his Normand dwelling, not far from Rouen. Sit down and enjoy a pleasurable relaxing moment. a. . ... more   less
