Ibis Paris 17 Clichy-Batignolles

The hotel is on the northern edge of the periphery ring road of Paris, and is located a bit down an alley away from the main road. It is a huge hotel with a lot of guests. The rooms are about averaged sized for a European budget hotel, but otherwise okay. Decent cable service on the tv. There are a number of restaurants and a small bar within the hotel. Breakfast was satisfying though the choices were more continental than either Ibis hotels I have stayed in before. But honestly there was more than an enough different items to choose from that I had no complaints.

One note: the Metro line to the hotel (#13) during rush hour has a lot of pickpockets. Take all precautions you can.

The hotel is a bit difficult to find, inside a dark alley among abandoned buildings ! The surroundings are not really nice after sunset. Rooms are super small size just like their cars !
The breakfast was good. There is a metro station nearby and you must be extremely alert riding the metro about the pick pockets ! Thugs and Quasimodos are everywhere.
Hotel is clean, wifi is good and free. Ask for a room facing the Eiffel tower and on the upper floors to avoid the eyesores of vibrant constructions around.

Room Tip: Upper floors and facing the Eiffel tower.

We had the opportunity to stay at this particular IBIS property last year. Great access to the tube/metro and one can get to the Eiffel in 20 minutes. However, the restaurants need a better menu to begin with (we ended up eating Pizzas the whole time) and the breakfast was cold.

Decent rooms with a nice view of the Eiffel again. I do recommend this property though service levels could improve. Will settle for an average rating.

Room Tip: Rooms with a clear view of the Eiffel.

This is i huge hotel in the nothern suburb of Paris. Convenient but nothing special.
A typical chainhotel with no personality. A lot of guests, crowded. Chaos in the garage.
Good breakfast NOT a typical French but more of an English with a lot of choices.

Room Tip: Maybe it´s nicer to stay on the top floors, but not really.

It is a clean hotel but services are not quite for a 3 stars hotel; breakfast place was very crowded maybe because I was in Easter time, the food is very poor, only one type of cheese and salami and a few sweets; our room was quite big compared with other ones; one of the unpleasant thing was that the cleaning people forgot, twice, to replace the towels after they took it. If you want to leave your luggage after check out, the only possibility is to take a box for 4 or 5 EUR
The hotel is located far away from the center but could be reached with public transportation (metro and bus); the area is ok with many restaurants; 20 min walk far from Moulin Rouge.

Room Tip: no comments

The price was outstanding, almost 60-65 eur per night for a double room. The location is not very central, but it is easy to reach Champs-Elyses by metro within 20-25 minutes. The room and the bathroom are small, but comfortable enough.

The most crucial downside of this hotel is not to have fridges in the rooms. Also you shouldn't expect much from the "so-called" open buffet breakfast, unless you like the continental breakfast!

If you are not very much into amenities and other stuff but care about your travel budget, I would really recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Better to stay away from the side of the hotel to Eiffel Tower due to the fact that there is a kind...
