We stayed for two nights and were sorry to leave. This is one of 6 Palace Hotels in Paris and but it makes 5 Star look like a Holiday Inn. Art and ambiance was the goal and it was truly achieved. Not pretentious just pure class. The lobby has cozy little nooks with overstuffed couches to relax and take it all in. Everywhere you look is quirky unexpected artsy touches. We had a guitar in our room as part of the decor and all the lamp shades have appointment notes written on them.
But the best part of the hotel is the staff. Even though we weren't famous( which many of their clients are) we were treated as if we were. They couldn't be more helpful and truly concerned with your comfort and enjoying Paris.
I left my Kindle in the room when we checked out and called the hotel from the train to Bordeaux and sure enough they found and François Grisor the Guest Relations Manager shipped it to my home. It was waiting there when we returned from our vacation.
Some practical tips- It's two blocks from the Arc de Triomphe so get up early and enjoy it when no one is there.
There's a Starbbucks around the block in case you need a real American Coffee. and Cesar Etoile across from the Starbucks has great Italian food.
But don't miss the Breakfast at the Hotel it is fabulous to say the least.
Don't miss this hotel if you can.
