Small rooms and hallway, even for Europe, but I never felt crammed. Decor is modern mixed with a book theme, which I loved. Lobby is small but dark and feels somewhat romantic.
Location was good, it was never hard to get a taxi and the walk to the Opera station wasn't very far. I never ate at the hotel, but I did have drinks--great cocktails and the bartender was very engaging. There are several places nearby to grab a quick breakfast, I didn't have any problems with any of them.

Dear guest,
Thank you for this lovely comment. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us.
We wanted to creat a peacefull and cosy atmosphere dedicated to Marcel Proust and his work, that's why every room is dedicated to a character from his books.
Once again, thank you for this comment.
We hope to see you soon.

Small room. Closet small unable to close. Bathroom and extension of sleeping area. Smoking in front of hotel makes lobby a poor place to wait. When asking for cab it is 10 euros already on meter when they arrive. Breakfast is skimpy and poor for 13 euros.

"Dear Steven,
Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. Should it be a bad or a good review, it is really important for us to have a feedback, in order to keep improving the quality of our service.
I remember you, and it was a real pleasure to welcome you, and help you during your stay.
I really wish you could have shared with my colleagues and I what troubled you during your stay. We may have been able to help you, or we could have at least explained some of the things you have written on your comment. For example, as far as the taxis are concerned, every taxi begins with 2.50€, and the meter begins once the taxi is called, hence the 10€.
I truly hope that in spite of your bad appreciation of the room, you have been satisfied with the quality of the service provided by the staff.
We hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you again.

Best Regards,

"

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was so tiny that we weren't able to unpack because we couldn't fit the luggage in the room. We needed to use the closet to store the luggage. Despite this setback, the room was clean, modern, and beds were comfortable. The room also had the cutest little balcony facing the front. The air con cooled the room magnificently on those hot summer nights. The breakfast was delicious! Everything we had was amazing. Staff was very friendly and attentive, with the exception of one front desk man at night. The location is away from all the action, but it is relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. It is very close to the Villiers and St. Lazare train stations. It is also within walking distance to the Champs Elysee. We would definitely stay here again!

"Dear Cristina,
Thank you for this kind review. Allowing people to talk freely about their impressions on their stay is very important for us, and for the Trip Advisor users as well.
I am very glad you were satisfied with the room facilities, as well as the hotel services! The rooms have been renovated very recently, ad all of them have been named after a character from the Marcel Proust novel “Remembrance of Things Past”. Hence the library in the lobby!
You are right when you mention the location of the hotel: it is away from the hustle of the boulevards, while being very conveniently located to reach every please very easily.
Again, thank you for your comment! We look forward to welcome you again soon.

Best Regards,
"

My husband and I loved Le Swann for our trip. We were there 6 nights, and it was very comfortable. The rooms were plenty big for sleeping, very clean, well designed, and had an incredibly lovely view of parisian rooftops. The staff was all very nice, especially Damien whom we spoke with the most. He was professional and kind, even when there were certain guests asking for odd things. I think we may have stayed in a room one size up from the smallest, which was great. My favorite thing by far was just standing on the balcony and looking out at the beautiful surroundings.

You can walk EVERYWHERE from this hotel. We walked to Montmartre (18 minutes), Galleries Lafeyette and Printemps (with lots of shopping, 10 minutes) , Champs-Elysees (20 minutes maybe), Arc de Triump (20 minutes), Eiffel Tour (40 minutes), Nortre Dame (50 minutes maybe). If you don't like walking, the hotel is right near a very large train station, Gare St. Lazare. We took a train to Porte de Vanves to go to the weekend flea market, then rode it back up near the Louvre, and it was simple enough. We also rode it from the hotel to Le Marais, since our feet were pretty sore from all the walking we had done. Otherwise, it was very easy to walk around Paris to and from the hotel. We pretty much walked the ENTIRE city.

The neighborhood the hotel is located in is fantastic! In fact, it was my husband's favorite area in the city. It's quiet and lovely, walking distance from everything, and has a lot of great places to eat nearby. Literally walk any direction from the hotel and you'll find something to do, see, and eat. The hotel restaurant looked good too, but we didn't eat there since we wanted to keep moving around the city.

The only negative about the hotel was that the bathrooms aren't very private (glass doors), so I'm not sure if I'd want to stay there with someone I wasn't super close with. The glass doors are very pretty, though! The shower is great, and the bed is so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of it.

Overall fantastic! Merci beaucoup, hotel Le Swann!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a great time. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and even upgraded our room upon arrival. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes away from two Metro stations and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

The rooms are very clean and well equipped - perfect for a city break.

These rooms are small. I mean, tiny! This being my first time to Paris, I have nothing to compare them to, so maybe this is typical for the city. But, the rooms in this hotel were even smaller than Tokyo hotel rooms (which is saying something!). Don't expect a lot of space - there was not even room for both my husband and I to lay down a suitcase each. It was impossible to leave the small toilet closet without literally stepping into the shower to get around the door.

That said, I was extremely impressed with how much functionality the Best Western fit into such a small room. Every amenity we could ever need was in there - fridge, bathrobes, safe, espresso machine, you name it. The bed was nice, and the air conditioner worked great.

I loved the neighborhood - not too busy, and great music shops on every corner. Several patisseries within a 5 minute walk, all with excellent pastries and coffee! A quick 5-minute walk to the St. Lazare train station. Taxis were easily available (just have the front desk call) and surprisingly reasonably priced.

We had nothing but positive experiences with the front desk staff. They were happy to help us find nearby restaurants and attractions!

Also, the main lobby was really cute and comfortable, with a very literary library-like feel. Very comfortable!

If you don't need a ton of space, this is a great choice for Paris!

"Dear Andrea,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience about your stay at the Best Western Premier le Swann. Regarding the size of the room, the hotel also features Executive rooms “Belle Parisienne”. They offer more space, and overlook the courtyard, which makes them very quiet.
That being said, I am really glad to read the service provided met your expectations!
As you mention it, the lobby features a great Marcel Proust-dedicated library, with a multi-lingual part. Next time, don’t hesitate to grab a book to your room!
The neighbourhood is very peaceful, and thanks to the metro stations around, every place in Paris is very easily accessible.
We really hope we will have the pleasure to see you again soon!
Best Regards,
"

We recently stayed for 6 nights. The location is a little tucked away from the hustle if paris which can be nice (about 15 min walk to galleries Lafayette or 20 min to opera) if you like to ease into and out if the day, the rooms are "cozy" and will put your organizational skills to the test but they are comfy and beautiful. Breakfast buffet is well worth it. And there is a great little Creperie cross the street a few doors up. So good we went four times!

And it is located in the music area of paris --- lots of great music stores selling books, instruments etc..

Pros: lovely rooms, safe, breakfast, quiet, value, cozy
Cons: a tad out of the way, small rooms

"Dear guest,

What a nice comment! Thank you so much for sharing your impressions about your stay at the Best Western Premier le Swann on Trip Advisor.
I am glad you found the location convenient. Galleries Lafayette and the Opera are located within a walking distance; and the hotel is surrounded with metro station wich makes every main Paris’ attraction very accessible.
The crêperie you are talking about is a great place indeed! Enjoying a crêpe with a bowl of cidre makes you travel to Bretagne, where it is the speciality. This restaurant if one of the many you can find around the hotel, and the reception is inexhaustible about the best restaurants of the neighbourhood.
We really hope to see you again soon!
Best Regards,
"
