We were pleased with our choice, it was good value for money. The position of the hotel is great, you are at walking distance from the main places in Paris. The room was small but neat and clean. Every evening, when we came back to the hotel, the room was fresh with clean bed linen and towels. Service was good and hotel staff were kind and helpful. What else to desire, in a beautiful city like Paris?

Stayed at Saint Lazare for two nights during a business trip to Paris.
The hotel is easely reachable via the underground (Metro) from the Paris-Nord railway station. Friendly reception. A small elevator brings you to your room. Small, but clean and comfortable room: very good bed, TV, a small desk, clean bathroom with shower, good WiFi coverage (free). My room was on the 4th floor overlooking the inner yard and was very quiet!
Breakfast is served in the basement: fresh fruits, fruit salad, cereals, different kinds of bread, boiled eggs, cheese, cooked ham, ... Everything you need.
If you want to stay in Paris for a couple of nights in a quiet clean hotel, I can recommend Hotel Saint Lazare.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. Only potential negative was small bath but didn't bother us as shower was amazing! Free WiFi was covered in our room. Convenient location and would stay again as easy to get to and get around from.

After reading some negative reviews upon arrival made us prepared for the worst but it turns out to be out of expectation! The rooms were clean, the front desk Ms.Linda is helpful and recommended us nearby good and reasonable price cafés and restaurants. We enjoyed our drinks at the garden courtyard and it's just good ! St.Lazare station is just a stone throw away and Galleria Lafayette is only 10 minutes walking distance.Breakfast part is a bit poor, ham would not be served again if it's finished, sorry latecomers....

ths is the worst hotel eveeeeerr..i was on my honeymoon and stayed in other 2 hotels too but this is in my 3 years staying in hotels all around the world is the worst:no cupboard,no AC,the room is tiny!! we can only charge one thing a time as we have only 1 electricity plug so we had to take turns to charge our cell phones and cameras!! the breakfast is very very poor and the Algerian receptionist is a thief he charged us twice for the transportation!! OMG i could not believe how he lied and we had to pay as it was 4 am and we are late for the flight..he stole 20 euros from us...i do not recommend this hotel..in regards of lecation and being near to metro station there is plenty of cheap hotels just beside it which will respect its guests ..even the allivator did not take all our bags one time!!

Room Tip: do not recommend at alllllllll

Dear Guest.
Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience encountered. We have taken note of your remarks. We do our best to provide our guests with clean and comfortable rooms. We also offer many products for breakfast (“viennoiseries”, 3 types of bread, 2 types of corn flakes, 4 types of ham, honey, 3 cheeses, ham, 2 fruit juice, yogurt and hot drinks). I investigated about the inconvenience encountered during the check out. When we book transportation to the airport for our guest, a part of the payment is done at the reception and the balance made to the driver. This is how it usually works. There may have been a misunderstanding on departure and we apologize for that but we trust our staff and are sorry if you felt like you have been robbed.
Best regards.

The rooms in this hotel are not as large as the website suggests (not the rooms I saw anyway). It was mid-august and humid. As a solo traveller I believe people are discriminated against on the basis of travelling alone. I was first shown to a shady, corner ground floor room, with no view and it was very unwelcoming. I complained and I was shown to a small attic room with slanting ceiling and no space or view. I refused the room and was taken to a sister hotel and invited to have a better room for an additional 100 euros. I refused and we returned to the hotel and I was told they had nothing more to offer. I explained I had selected this hotel on the basis of website pictures and because I thought I was going to purchase a reasonable double room for single use. I showed reception my ipad and a picture of the room offer on the payment receipt. Suddenly another room with a window that opened to some sort of view was offered however, it was still extremely small (the bed prevented you from opening one side of the window) and it was nothing like I had expected from the website pictures. A spiritless let-down and this hassle is the last thing you need when on holiday. Good location if you can live with budget service, noise, small rooms etc this will fit the bill. If you are seeking comfort, keep looking.

Room Tip: Do what I did and find a lovely hotel, preferably one that you an inspect in advance or that someone...

Dear soletraveller2013.
Thank you for taking the time to write this comment. We would like to apologize if you didn’t feel welcome in our hotel. We are used to welcoming guests from every country: couples, families, groups and we really try to do our best to make all our guests feel welcome whether they travel by themselves or not.
We have rooms of different sizes, some are smaller than others and we also have single rooms for one person. They have a view on the street or on the indoor patio and some of them are located on the ground floor. They are all fully equipped and we make sure they are very clean for our guests. Still, they are all different and the pictures that you can see on the website only represent some of them. It is not always possible to give our guest the one on the pictures on arrival. However, we are doing our best to satisfy our guests so as to make sure they enjoy their stay in Paris.
We hope that you will give us the opportunity to show you our other rooms or that you will stay in one of our other hotels in Paris during your next stay.
Best regards.

We stayed at this hotel, with our 2 teenage sons, for 7 nights in july/ august 2013. The hotel is located close to metro and railway station. There is a lot of restaurants nearby, and it is in walking distance to many of the sights in Paris.
The rooms are very small, and not much space for the luggage. The bed was ok. The two rooms we were in, were worn out, and could use some paint. The cleaning was most satisfying. At the hotel website you can see pictures of a little patio, but it dosent look anything near the pictures. Not at all so cozy as shown. We have stayed at others 3 star hotels in Paris, and i think this hotel looks more like a 2 star.
This hotel is ok if you just need a place to sleep,

Dear Guest.
We apologize for the inconvenience encountered. It is true our rooms are quite small. Still, many 3-star hotels in Paris offer little rooms especially in our district. Please don't hesitate to discover our other hotels in Paris on our website www.new-hotel.com. They all have different size of rooms. We hope to welcome you again soon in one of our hotels.
Best regards.
