“Great place to stay in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014 via mobile

Location is perfect, the view amazing, very nice staff, because they had no double rooms available when we've got to the hotel we've got an upgrade immediately. Breakfast very nice, hotel very clean. Everything was just perfect

WE arrived in Paris on 8th August 2014 and was greeted by a very friendly hotel clerk who already knew our names and she said she was expecting us. She telephoned my sister and her husband who had already arrived and told them that we had just arrived. It was a beautiful hotel with all amenities and within easy reach of all the popular tourist sites. The breakfast was sumptuous.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a great view of the city.

Cannot praise this hotel enough. Stayed here late August for a few days and it was a pleasure from the moment we arrived. Staff were friendly and readily available, effortless to check in. We had a room on the 7th floor with views of the Sacre Coeur and Eiffel Tower. The room was great, beautifully decorated, clean and just lovely! Tv, kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, fridge with complimentary water, free safe, shampoo, soap, the usual. The room was quiet at night and just a joy to wake up in, the bed was huge and really comfortable (superior room). The hotel is in a great location and only 2/3 minutes from Place de Clichy metro station. We would return here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris.

Room Tip: Request a room on the 7th, 8th or 9th floors for the best views.

We stayed here in late august for 3 nights. The hotel is very close to the nearest metro, place le clichy. The hotel is bright and clean and first impressions are very positive. Check in was painless and staff very helpful and polite. Our room was on the 5th floor and although the view was not of a iconic landmark it was ok. We had booked a kingsize superior room which was plenty big enough for 2 people and bags. The bar situated on floor 1 is ideal for a quick drink of an evening and drink prices fair and reasonable for paris. Breakfast is served in the same area as the bar and it did feel strange eating my breakfast at the same table I had been at 8 hours earlier. The breakfast choice is ok, not fantastic in terms of choice but enough to keep you interested. This hotel comes with our praise and I would defiantly stay here again. It's price, location and staff all offer positives and I can't wait to visit paris and this hotel again.

I stayed at the Mercure Montmatre in early July, when in Paris on a worktrip. I stayed 2 nights and they gave me the most awful tiny room right next to the street, noisy and definitely not worth 200 Euros per night. When I learnt that an american colleague from my company was paying the same and had a much larger nicer room (and she had booked later than me!), I checked with hotel staff and they told me that they couldn't do anything. Worse yet, was my experience with the assistant front desk manager Alfred. His continuous scolding & rude behaviour with me can only be attributed to his racist mindset. I can see no other reason to keep a lady waiting when he is being so over polite and nice to every other person he was talking to. I have to recommend the bellboy Dieudonne who was polite and helpful. Its located in a lovely part of Paris and I just wish they hadn't made my recent experience so bad!
