Lovely little hotel excellently situated in Paris. Very warm welcome by Christopher when I arrived at 7:30am after a very long flight. Understandably my room wasn't ready as check-in is mid-afternoon. However, Christopher was active in making sure my room was available as soon as possible and it was indeed ready by approximately 10am. While I met many Parisians during this trip who seemed to resent the fact that I did not speak French, Christopher spoke English without any apparent resentment or annoyance. I can't speak highly enough of this staff member. Unfortunately two other staff members were quite aloof and I felt like an inconvenience to them, and I'm an easy customer, so not sure what their reasoning for this was. This tainted my experience, unfortunately. Good customer service is the difference between a good hotel and an exceptional hotel. Fortunately the staff member at checkout was much more engaging and helpful.
Nevertheless, the room was perfectly adequate with a lovely window that opened onto a small steel lattice balcony with a flower box suspended from it. Ample size room. Very clean. Free wifi. Safe in room. Tea & coffee making facilities, however coffee sachets not replenished each day. When I asked the two aloof staff members for more coffee sachets they seemed rather put out by this request, however they did seek out more sachets for me. The shower was designed in such a way that the toilet and bench became drenched with water every time I had a shower. However, wiping down the area with spare towels rectified this situation afterwards.
Loved the design of the hotel and the reception area is quite delightful.
Tip: There is a lovely boutique convenience store (The Drug Store?) just up the road and near the Arc De Triomphe which was handy for supplies as required.
