I can't say enough about how happy we were with our 3 night experience at this hotel. We had a quad room, 2 parents and 2 kids in their 20's. A smallish room by American standards but much larger than I expected for a quad room in Europe. The rooms was very clean and well appointed. There was an ample bathroom with shower. The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast included with the room had a wonderful variety including scrambled eggs, sausage, crepes, pastries and assorted meats, cheeses coffee and juices. The hotel was located on a darling neighborhood street with small cafes and cheese, bread, meat and wine shops perfect to supply our picnic the first night. The hotel is a 1 minute walk from a metro station that will take you absolutely anywhere you want to go in Paris. The room was on the back of the hotel overlooking a courtyard. Very quiet. Wonderful all the way around.

A wonderful small hotel nestled in the small streets of Paris. It is within walking distance of Montmartre and Notre Dame. Rooms are clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The street it is on is lined with shops and restaurants, and there are many more in the area. We booked the larger room, and were treated to a bottle of wine and a bowl of fruit. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean, quaint, charming - Metro a block away. The staff could not have been more helpful - even getting me ice and an ace bandage when I hobbled in the lobby with a swelling ankle (from my fall in the street). Yes, the rooms are the urban small as we expected. The breakfast had an excellent selection and looked out to the ivy covered courtyard. The Rue Cadet is a small street with great small shops - knitting, fruit, pastry, pizza, museum, wine... Such a convenient location!

Room Tip: Courtyard was where we were - we had geraniums in the flowerbox outside our window

The Opera Cadet is right next to the Cadet Metro station and within easy walking distances of two more, making access to all the sites so easy. We walked to Galeries Lafayette, the Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge and caught the Metro to all the other attractions.
The hotel has a secure underground car-park, spaces are tight but adequate as we left our car there for the duration of our stay as the metro was the easiest way to get around. Car parking is charged at 25 Euros per day and you need to pre-book, which we did via email. There is lift access to the hotel from the car park, so it’s easy to transport luggage.
Our room was overlooking the court yard, very quiet and we were woken by the birds singing in the morning (but if you shut the windows, the double glazing is pretty sound proof). The room was a decent size with a table and two arm chairs and the bathroom included a bath to soak our weary joints in after all the walking that we did. There was an over bath shower and always plenty of hot water. TV in the room with English channels and film rental service, but no tea/coffee facilities. The restaurant is only open for breakfast; there is a bar in the evenings. There is free Wifi in the rooms which operated well for each session, but we found that we had to keep logging on for every new session (may have been our lack of computer skills?)
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fresh and a variety of choice. They only had twin rooms with single beds left on the website when we booked, but we emailed a request for a double bed and they managed to find us a room with a double bed, which we appreciated. There were two lifts to access the bedrooms and there was never any wait for the lifts. We took advantage of one of their special offers and enjoyed a lovely basket of fruit, bottle of wine and free metro pass.
The streets surrounding the hotel offered various restaurants, bakers and patisseries, fruit and vegetables and a lovely delicatessen. We often bought some French bread and cheese or pate for a simple lunch – it was a delight to shop in the area.
We bought tickets for the Batobus and enjoyed the view of Paris from the river, as well as hoping on and off at the various attractions. We queued for the Musee D’Orsay, which is a most beautiful building and has spectacular views of Paris through the face of a glass clock – it was amazing. Entry was free to this museum on the first Sunday of the month, unlike the Louvre whose free, first Sunday of the month entry policy operates only in the winter months. We walked around the other sites, but the queues were too long for us, but really the outsides of the building were so beautiful that we didn't feel that we missed much.
Hotel Opera Cadet is a great place to stay if you want a comfortable, friendly hotel in a nice area with easy access via the Metro to all attractions.

This is one of the very nicest hotels in which my wife and I have stayed (we have visited 16 countries and Paris several times). The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was large by Paris standards, very quiet, very clean, well furnished, with a nice bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was varied and abundant, with very pleasant service, in a bright room and a second room surrounded by greenery. The hotel is small, in small street with fruit stalls, an incredible delicatessen store, a baker, restaurants, .etc.

The neighborhood is bustling with all manner of shops and eating places. One street further is a 19th century arcade full of antique shops, antique and somewhat modern art boutiques, vintage toys, restaurants and fine pastries, an out-of place-looking hotel, the whole thing feeling magically
out of a Victor Hugo or Dickens novel. (Note that the arcade seems to end at a major Boulevard but continues on the other side of the Boulevard.)

Nevertheless the hotel is centrally located, a few steps from the Metro (Subway -- Make sure to
get a "Navigo" Monday-morning-to-Sunday-night Metro pass, if indicated. -- This is, by the way, easiest of any subways in any town I have visited), next to the Rue Lafayette which houses the Galleries Lafayette Department Store, and close to the magnificent Opera Garnier, home of the phantom of... It is quite close to the Louvre which is contiguous to the magnificent Tuileries Gardens, and if you walk to the end of the Tuileries Gardens you will bump into the Champs Elizées. It also is not far from the Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral.

We stayed in the Hotel for fourteen days. We could not have been more pleased.

Room Tip: We were in Room 410. You may wish to reserve it. However the staff is most accommodating and I assum...

The rooms were smaller than any other rooms we stayed in but they were very clean and you are gone most of the day touring. the staff was extremely friendly especially a young man at the front desk which I cannot remember his name but he went to McGill University in Montreal. he went out of his way to explain everything to us and had many suggestions on what to see.
Breakfast was adequate. location next door to shops of every kind and restaurants.
Two suggestions...don't order a cab from your hotel front desk. you are billed from time of call and you can have 8 or 9 euros on your tab before you get in it. go out on the street and hail one. that's everywhere..not just Paris.

secondly, tours are convenient but you are rushed through. you will miss a lot..so if the Lourve is important to you...buy your own ticket (pay extra for no queuing) and take your time and enjoy.

The hotel is located very near to the train station making it very easy to move around Paris. Alot of restaurants, fruit stalls, convenient shops and also bicycle for rent just nearby the hotel.

Breakfast was good every morning. Fresh fruits are sweet and delicious. Pastry are yummylicious.

There are three of us. We specificly requested for a 3 bedded room. Only to find we were put in a 2 bedded room with an extra bed. The extra bed was so unconfortable, noisy and hard to sleep on. Took them 3 days to change the mattress to a more confortable one.

As for the reception/customer service. Some of them are extremely helpful and courteous. Some took a longer time to be friendly.
