Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Pleasantly surprised by its location, friendly reception staff, and a nice breakfast.

Rooms are modern with free wifi, impeccable house keeping, free cookies and muffins replenished daily to accompany your favourite cup of coffee (espresso mix) or tea if you like.

Breakfast included hot scrambles eggs and some meat, cold cuts, one type of cheese, breads including croissants (of course) and tea / coffee along with preserves including nutella spread. Whole and cut fruits as well as yogurt were on offer. What more would one want for breakfast?

Most hotels show something else in terms of pictures of rooms but this hotel has beautiful rooms (at least the one I stayed in). Admittedly a bit small but very comfortable. I would stay here again.

There are plenty of eateries and a convenience store outside the hotel. Despite being on a business trip, it was convenient to shop at the Galleries Lafayette or H&M which was a short 2 minute walk from the hotel. So, I could shop, come back to my hotel to drop the bags and head out again without thinking twice. The metro station is also just a 2 min walk which was very convenient.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. Mine faced the pizzeria below so during night times it was a bit loud despite...

the only positive about this hotel was the location, just next to galleries lafayette and across the road is the stop for the ho-ho bus which took us around paris on the first day......but hotel has tiny rooms even tinier toilets..............there are some decent cafes, restuarants out on the street and a tesco next door............very close to the subway and opera house too..............the lift is tiny and one has to lug their suitcases up quite a few stairs................our friends room on the 6th floor had a non-functioning air conditioner...................

Reasonably priced clean hotel in great location. Bus to airport a five minute walk. Close to Metro, Opera House and if you like shopping best area. Friendly helpful staff. Only downside a little noisy in daytime but I imagine that is common for Paris. We slept through with no problem after eating at fantastic restaurant next door.

Very tired hotel. Website states all rooms have a balcony. Wrong.. My room overlooked a dirty courtyard at the rear of the hotel. Single rooms very small and claustrophobic. DO NOT stay in room 648. Even if you were a size 0, you would have trouble fitting into the shower cubicle. When I say the door only opens about 6 inches, believe me. You cannot turn around in the shower, that's if you can get in it. Reception staff really couldn't care less and laughed when asked about the balcony and told of the shower.

Thank our lucky star we chance on this hotel. Most importantly it was clean and a comfortable triple room with a good location.Shopping just walking distance and restuarants too.Galleries Lafayette just round the corner and so are other shopping outlets.
Staff there were friendly and well verse in English. The elevator is the smallest so far of all my hotels stay but not a problem as our room was on the second floor.
All in all it was a pleasant stay....should I have the chance to visit Paris again I will return to Excelsior Opera.....thank you.

Room Tip: Take the 1st or 2nd flr.if you have a lot of luggages....elevator can only take one person with a lu...

We booked a triple room for 5 nights and asked for a room on a higher floor for our holiday in Paris. We got a corner room on the 6th (highest) floor with a balcony. The room was nice and clean with comfortable beds. We hardly heard any rumbling from the metro or any other noises. (We were worried before.) The staff were friendly and very helpful. All of them (at least all that we met) spoke English. And, the best part is of course the location! Next to Galeries Lafayette and the metro. Many shops and restaurants are nearby. The Roissy bus stop at Opera is only 5-minute walk. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor with a balcony!

I chose this hotel because of its location near the Roissy bus stop for CDG and for Galleries Lafayette. Perfect for both. Friendly staff speaking English if required. Clean comfortable room with excellent bed and French doors with Juliet balcony overlooking quiet street at side of hotel. A bit of rumbling from the Metro but not enough to disturb one's sleep. Tea kettle and tea packets, cookies provided! Why people complain about small European elevators is beyond me...that is simply the way elevators in old European buildings are! A very pleasant place to spend the night and felt completely safe as a woman travelling alone. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby to eat. Roissy bus was a five minute walk and also safe at five-thirty a.m.

Room Tip: I liked the second floor on the side (not facing Lafayette).
