Just returned from trip to Paris and stayed in this very lovely hotel! A little gem tucked away but close to lovely areas. Friendly, helpful staff and yummy, delicious breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend tastefully decorated, pretty accommodation to anyone visiting Paris. Excellent local amenities, good shopping area and fun bike hire!!!

What a great little find. Stayed here with my wife for our first wedding anniversary and could not have been more happy. Situated 3 min walk from the tube station this great little hotel is tucked away, but as soon as you walk in the foyer you are in for a treat with a warm welcome and quirky but stylish decor.

We were up graded to a room with a balcony (well a nice ledge you could stand on!) the room was plenty spacious for us and our needs. Beautify decorated and styled, with a big bed and a nice shower room. We didn't have much luggage with us so there was plenty of space for our needs.

Free wifi throughout the hotel was great.

If I had to pick up on 2 things would be the breakfasts were quite plain and the flooring in the bedroom was quite hard/not soft underfoot but if these are the problem areas you know you have a good find!

Yes the hotel is near/close the red light area but really you don't notice it and you feel very safe.

Can't recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a great good class hotel (and not just another "chain" hotel) then look no further. You won't be disappointed.

I am so pleased that we found this boutique hotel and will definitely be returning. Hotel is beautifully decorated and we struck lucky with a corner room which had dual aspect windows. The staff are friendly and attentive whilst also discreet. Hotel is in a great location, with a vast choice of restaurants and bars and ideally situated, we walked every where and never used the Metro. Breakfast was fab with a great choice including fresh fruit, fresh cheeses n meats, croissants, cereals etc. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are more spacious............however I am sure all the rooms would be fab

We stayed at Hotel Josephine from May 16th to May 20th for a price that was acceptable, we were very happy with the location, walking distance to 2 metro stations and market down the street + if we were up for a longer walk, we could walk until city center. The rooms were very clean but small, which is typical in Paris, the bed was very comfortable. The shower was spacious and the water had good pressure. We were lucky enough to score a balcony on which we were able to enjoy the "apero"! The staff was very friendly and service was great. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel considering there was many boulangerie/patisserie around where we were able to enjoy a morning snack! Would definitely recommend this hotel/location.

Room Tip: ask for a balcony

Our family of four stayed here for a long weekend. We booked two twin bed rooms.
Both rooms were very well appointed but I felt ours was really very small for two adults. There was a very small wardrobe but no chests of drawers or any shelf space. As we were there for only two days, we lived out of our suitcase.
Other than this gripe, the hotel is extremely well located. It is a 3 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge theatre and a mere five minutes to Montmartre and the Sacre Coure.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly as well. An excellent breakfast is served in the arched basement of this very old but very characterful building.
Overall despite my comments about the room size, I would still recommend this charming hotel.

Ideally situated in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, also known as the Opera district (bordering Paris’s most beautiful districts), as well as its close proximity to The Moulin Rouge and Montmartre, Hotel Joséphine is also walking distance to The Palais Garnier Opera House.

Inspired by French contemporary style, the interior designer Julie Gauthron has created a generous and stylish, colourful and glamorous environment.

The reception is understatedly breath-taking as you are faced with a wall-sized bookshelf, adored with retro literature, cosily surrounded with Liberty-style print mis-matched furniture.

Giving the chic space an urban edge are the vinyl on the walls, while opulent ornaments and lovingly collected items feel like a nod to a vintage Moulin Rouge dressing room.
Great care has been taken to appoint the 41 rooms in this 4* artistic palace and as a girly girl, a perfectly matched pink and orange rich tapestried room with cosy kingsize bed and cubed bathroom was a perfect home from home to get ready for a night out in Montmartre, and slink home to (via The Moulin Rouge) – Because I CanCanCan!

The welcoming bedrooms of the hotel Josephine Paris are adorned with black and white photographs of 1930s cabaret artists, and harmoniously blend Belle Époque beds and industrial style console tables into an ultra-modern colour block design.

You wanted atmospheric Paris? Like the one in the movies? Josephine Baker, chic and Montmartre, with some romance too? That is your hotel. You'll love the 1920ies feeling, the rooms mixing nostalgia and bright colours, the refined accessories. Beautiful indeed, so comfortable. Breakfast is served in an arched room downstairs. A travel in time entirely. Not a girlfriend nor a wife who will not LOVE the place, trust me!
