We stayed at this hotel in room 1015. The room looks towards the city/back road NOT eiffel tower. FYI.

We stayed 2 nights, coming from Disneyland paris. The hotel location is great, walk up to the eiffel tower is only 5 minutes. We arrived by car, and parked at the hotel. The hotel parking is very expensive, 28 euros per day.

We booked a privilidge suite via telephone before hand, and was surprised to see the rate we got was 50% cheaper than the price if you book right there.

The room was small, but very nicely equipped with a comfy bed, and very nice 40" LCD tv, and overall modern look. There is a mini fridge in the hotel, and when we arrived it had drinks in it - assuming that its a mini bar and we have to pay for the stuff, we helped ourselves to some drinks and later we found out they were free. What a nice surprise. In addition they have the nescafe machines like dolce gusto, etc in the room to use for free and a water kettle was well.

Everything was fine and dandy, except for the toilet that smelled like urine upon arrival. It stank so bad, worse than many public washrooms! I let the reception desk know, and they said they will send someone to clean it but that someone never arrived. The next day, we hoped the cleaning lady will get rid of the stench but again, it continued to stink like urine all through out our trip. We slept with the window open because it was just that horrible. If they would've handled this then I would've gave perfect score to this hotel for value & location & friendliness of staff.

The wifi in the hotel is free, in exchange for giving your name and email address for which you will receive various spam on later. They basically give free internet for signing up to their email database on orange network. The speed is horrible, 6mbit down, 1 mbit up per pagespeed.net but in reality had a lot of load time issues while browsing the web. The internet is usable but slow as a snail.

My partner and I stayed here for a 3 night mini break. The hotel was really easy to find and only steps away from the metro station- which was a handy gateway to the rest of Paris. It is also right next to the Eiffel Tower. When we checked in staff were incredibly helpful and allowed us to check in early (before 2pm). Our room was incredibly modern and very clean. It was a great place to call home for the 3 nights. Overall I would recommend this hotel, and will definitely be frequenting the Mercure chain in the future.

Room Tip: I would recommend a room on a higher floor if only for the view. Obviously facing the Eiffel Tower is ideal, but still lovely if not.
