Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel

I booked this hotel mainly for the location and we were not disappointed. If you can afford to, book one of the Privilege rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower, it is amazing to see it light up every night. The hotel is a two minute walk from the base of the Eiffel Tower and a similar distance from an RER and a Metro station, extremely useful for getting around. Rooms are a little smaller than we are used to but I suspect this is true of Paris in general, very well appointed with a comfy bed, free minibar and decent bathroom. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again.

Booked a privilege room for a special birthday. Good view of Eiffel Tower especially at night. Room not huge but it's got all you need. Excellent location for Tower, Seine and Trocadero. Ordered Champagne and although they delivered it - it arrived late which wasn't helpful. Cleaners then left empty bottle and glasses in corridor for next two days - sloppy. Good breakfast and free umbrellas when it rained one day.

Room Tip: Privilege room is a necessity

We were going on our honeymoon and thought we would splurge a little and get the special privilege room with a view of the Eiffel Tower at the Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel. We received a box of yummy macaroons on arrival and a nice card. Our mini bar was free each day (but only stocked with soft drinks)

The hotel was nice enough all Mercure Hotels are, restaurant food was average and quite costly and they are always busy so if you need anything you have to go down to reception and get it yourself. Staff are friendly though and the hotel is neat and tidy.

The privilege rooms are quite small, I thought for the price we paid that they might be a little bigger but they are still nice. The Eiffel Tower as magnificent as it is, is actually partially blocked by another hotel but it was still an amazing sight.

This hotel is within walking distance to the Seine River and Eiffel Tower which makes the location ideal.

We checked in on my birthday having returned from Reims. To my delight they have champagne waiting everywhere! Vibrant hotel at the foot of the Eiffel Tower was exactly the location I wanted for our first visit to Paris. I only wished we had chosen this hotel for longer. Friendly and professional TEAM (yes more than one person as our other 2 hotels only had one superMAN/WOMAN running the house) standing by to enhance your stay. We were quite tired and the front desk agent convinced us to have dinner at the hotel and even made reservations for us. I think we could have enjoyed dinner more if we didn't snack on sweets at the Eiffel Tower (our fault) and if my boyfriend didn't see Ratatouille (the mouse that cooks) run thru the dining room minutes after opening a bottle of Laurent Perrier. But we weren't mad, the side door was open and the staff was completely apologetic and attentive to me lifting my Jean Michel Cazabatz off the floor. I felt really bad as we barely finished our entrees and had no room for dessert as we believed they had a birthday dessert planned. So because we decided not to order any dessert, we never got to see this surprise. But it's ok, we will definitely stay again. Room was comfy and I loved the Eiffel Tower headboard. Compared to the boutique setting, it felt more comforting to be around lots more people at the Mercure (I manage a resort of 3400 rooms). My cousin is also a flight attendant who frequents Paris and says this is their go-to hotel as well. Perfect location, perfect bubbly birthday! We'll be back!

I booked the privelege room with a "view" of the eiffel tower for our stay in paris. Unfortunately, their definition of the words "privelege" and "view" differed greatly from mine. I could have lived with the partial view (the top 100 feet or so) if it were not for the general condition of the hotel and lack of amenities.
Our "privilege" room was smaller than the cabin we stayed in on a ferry trip across the baltic last week. We worried about the elevator due to the noises and vibrations experienced each trip.
The breakfast was good, but during our meal the fire alarm sounded due to a malfunctioning toaster and it took over five minutes for the staff to turn it off. There was no effort to evacuate the guests, so having the alarm sound for that long was quite annoying.
I will not consider staying at this hotel again, and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Book at the neighboring Pullman instead.

From our experience not all the people working in the hotel are kind. The privilege rooms are very good and you really are under the Tour Eiffel; we had been moved there after 2 days and before this we were in a standard room with view on the other side and it was awful. We booked through hotels.com and there was not the option so when we arrived at the hotel and asked for a Tour Eiffel view it was not possible because all the rooms had already been booked; they moved us after 2 days and with an extra charge of Eur 100,00 per night. We did not have breakfast included and so we had it outside of the hotel every day and it was not a problem as there are a lot of brasseries serving very good breakfast also in the neighborhood. My husband had to be urgently operated at the ankle 10 days prior to our arrival in Paris and he still had stitches inside it during our trip. As we booked the trip in January we did not believe that having the plane back home at 21.20 hours could be a problem but it was, because my husband could not walk for too much time. The manager was kind enough to allow us keeping the room till 17.00 hours at no extra charge and we really appreciated it because people working at reception were not so much kind during our stay. The manager was.
In conclusion: book this hotel but only with privilege rooms with view on the Eiffel Tower, the other rooms are really not good at all.

Room Tip: ONLY Privilege room with view over the Eiffel Towers. Other rooms are terrible
