“Good hotel next to Eiffel Tower”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014

Stayed here 2 nights in July. They could not give us room facing tower so had a back room, Room ok, tea / coffee facilities, fridge big enough to put in your own water etc. Breakfast very good and a wide variety. Would stay here again if visiting Paris.

This was the perfect place for us to stay in Paris. Very large, comfortable room with a convenient location. It is across the street from the metro station and easy to connect to most anywhere in Paris. We walked to the Eiffel tower one morning which took about 15 minutes. This was definitely the better of the 2 hotels we stayed at while in Paris.

We stayed in the Mercure hotel for 6 nights and we will definitely be coming back! The room was small but big enough for the time we spent in there! The beds were extremely comfortable and always made up nicely every day. The shower was extremely big and was lovely and warm and the toilet was clean as was the whole bathroom! The breakfast was nice and there was such a big selection from cooked to continental! There is something for everyone! The staff were extremely helpful and kind and were happy to help! The best thing about the Mercure is its location! It is 30 seconds away from the Eiffel Tower and a 2 minute walk to the river where you can get a lovely boat ride! It is also a short walk to the Metro and a minute away from a lovely spread of parks! This hotel is in a perfect location and is very quiet and clean! Thank you Mercure for a lovely stay! We will definitely be returning!

Stayed here 2 nights in August, we had 2 double privilege rooms on 12 floor. We booked a special summer deal which included breakfast. The rooms were large enough, very clean and had a great view of the tower and it was amazing watching it sparkle when laid in bed. Safe in room, coffee maker, fridge with free soft drinks were very nice touches. But only 2 cartons of milk, we had to keep going and requesting more, why?
So annoying, as was the non replacement of toileterries on second day Make sure you bring your own..I dont like the seperate toilet/shower room set up, it makes for very little space in either. The beds were really comfortable.

Breakfast, was disappointing, on the first morning we were seated in a side extension, where I think the tour groups breakfast. I picked up a chipped mug, then no water or coffee in the machines, most of the food trays were empty which meant walking round to the far end of the main breakfast room. I asked to be moved the young lady wasnt happy, I found a table in the main area and she did eventually clear this, she was annoyed but so was I. The breakfast choice were extensive hot and cold food, but very slow to refill the hot food containers. The general feeling was of indifference and poor organisation, butter not on the bread and toast section but over near cereals, no clean cups available for 5 minutes, all small grumbles but they add up to spoiling the start of ones day.( We did comment the following day in a rival chain 2 star hotel how hard the young man worked keeping all the food trays topped up)
Would I stay here again, yes in a privilege room which we were allowed to keep until 3pm. But its the location that really matters, minutes from the tower, the start of
the bus tours, the river boats and metro to all of Paris. Nice little restaurants close by. We enjoyed our stay but we feel it could have been much better.

Room Tip: Book privilege room on 12 Floor the view of the Eiffle Tower at night is wonderful and the room ext...

We came here as two friends for a weekend away in August.
The location is superb and the view from our room (1210) was just out of this world. We had a few niggles. Firstly when checking in the woman on reception took 1€ on my credit card and I never really knew why however we were allowed to check in early so that was good!
The room was a little small for both of us, there was only 2 channels on the TV that were in English but we weren't there to watch tv. We also couldn't get the iPod docking station or the iron at the end of the corridor to work. But the pluses outweigh the minuses. As I said the location was amazing, the night staff on the Saturday night (one was called Yann and the other I think Christian -he liked jogging - ) were really helpful when we needed directions for the following days trip to Jardins de Luxembourg. The soft drink minibar was free and was restocked. The bed was comfy and has lovely memory foam pillows, we had complimentary robe and slippers and although we were only there Friday to Sunday, our room was cleaned and we were given new towels and complimentary chocolates.
If I were to ever come to Paris again and I really hope I do, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The room was perfect. Quite we were on the 4th floor and had no road noise. Clean rooms, nice rain shower. We had a room with a double bed and pull out couch which was perfect for two adults and a teen. We made good use of the fridge and safe available. The only thing keeping this hotel from a 5 star is that being near the Eiffel Tower is not the location near most other sights, but we used the bus with no problems.

Besides the beds are very hard (too hard for Americans). This was a nice little hotel room with nice staff. Clean and very quiet.

Although the showers are designed by someone very stupid- they are designed so when you are in the shower you get the entire bathroom floor wet. Wish they would fix this.

Great location near to the Eiffel Tower, excellent public transportation nearby. A grocery store and laundromat within a couple of blocks.
We will stay here again.
