“Had a great Stay at Hotel Ares”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

In March of this year my friend and I were visiting relatives in England and went for a one night stay in Paris. We chose the Hotel Ares over the internet for its location to the Parisian sites we were interested in, especially the Eiffel Tower. We had a wonderful time in Paris and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The only problem we had was with room service as they didnt quite understand English and us French, but the hotel staff stepped in and one of the staff actually went to a local restaurant and got the sandwich we asked for as apparently the kitchen was out of that sandwich and didn't relay that to us correctly. Everything worked out in the end and I would stay at this Hotel whenever I am in Paris again.

We also were given a gift of the Hotels perfume from the owner, which I thoroughly enjoy. When I run out I will contact the owner to purchase another bottle. I hope he remembers me:)

It was fantastic to stay in this beautiful small boutique hotel. A charming and superbly designed interior with a friendly atmosphere.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bed linen was fresh and crisp with comfortable beds and pillows.

The level of detail & quality of finish was exceptional. No expense has been spared (Tektura leather & silk effect wallpapers, Hermes toiletries, Versace bathroom tiles, Villeroy & Boch crockery etc, Apple Mac computer in the lounge for guests to use, Bang Olufsen TV's in rooms etc)

The staff and in particular the Italian owner was very charming, friendly, engaging and keen to make sure everything was perfect for us.

Breakfast was self service and had a good selection of tasty pastries, fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juices, toast etc as well as some hot food (scrambled eggs / sausage)

The hotel is located in a quiet area and is a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and only slightly further to a metro station. There are a few restaurants within a ten minute walk away.

We had a fantastic stay at The Ares and would heartily recommend it to others. Great value for money for the quality. We hope to return soon. Thank you.

Room Tip: We stayed iin rooms 25 & 26 (opposite each other in the second floor) good for families travelli...

A lovely boutique hotel, located in a quiet backstreet but within a two minute walk of the metro and 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. The rooms were small but beautifully appointed. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good with a continental offer and scrambled egg and sausages and Nespresso coffee on tap.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet

A wonderful hotel with lovely staff (especially the lady receptionist). Nothing is too much trouble, from borrowing a corkscrew to organising an early breakfast enabling me to run the Paris marathon. Flowers, organised by my husband, were put in our room before we arrived.
At the end of our 2 night stay we were allowed to leave our cases until we needed to head off to the airport....a nice touch.
Our bedroom was upgraded on account of our anniversary and we benefited from a slightly larger bed in a room with 3 balconies! Our room wasn't big by any means but beautifully decorated with high end spec'.
The room was immaculate. Very comfortable bed with nice linen.
Didn't, however, like the shower very much. Hard to operate with a strong likelihood of a jet of cold water pouring over ones head.
Beautiful Paris is literally on the doorstep with a metro very nearby.

Ares Hotel is a beautiful, well taken care of boutique style hotel. The rooms are small but nicely maintained with beautiful draperies and luxurious bathrooms. We had a small balcony with nice views. We didn't spend much time in the room because we were IN PARIS!
The neighborhood was quiet, with a short walk to shops, bars, and restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved the boutique feel of this hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are quite small but that is typical of Paris, room was very clean through our whole stay the bathroom was very luxurious. Awesome location, heart of the city, close to many great restaurants and walking distance to the Eifel Tower. Highly recommend this hotel.
