Lovely hotel, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing appeared to be of trouble to the staff/Reception who also arranged a transfer from the hotel to the airport. The room was spotless and all toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The minibar in the room was of excellent value. Very close of Eiffel Tower and Metro for getting around Paris. Would definitely stay at Hotel again if in Paris and would highly recommended this hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Ares from June 17th to June 20th, 2014. Our comments:
1. Lovely hotel with an excellent staff. The owners were on premises most of the time and were very nice and attentive people.
2. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to many restaurants and close to the Eiffel Tower.
3. Price is a bit high but Paris hotels in general are high as well.
4. Several negatives: hotel room is tiny. We know that hotel rooms in Europe are generally small but this was small even by their standards. At one point, we contemplated putting our four suitcases in the lobby just so we could move around in the room. Its that small.
5. The room had a "balcony". The balcony is about 2 feet wide and one foot in length. Its really for pigeons.
6. Overall, the hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent and very helpful. Room size the major negative for us.

Room Tip: I would check the individual room that they are about to give you. Since the hotel was crowded, we...

Dear customer first of all thanks a lot for your gentle review i want to thank you for your nice words about the hotel the location and ourselves . For what you say negative points i just would like to give an explication for travellers reading this comment . it is pity that you did not speak with us we could find a solution we have six different sizes of room you had a classic room that is the smallest size ,
I can say tha we follow the rules of four stars french hotels . I asked to see your reservation so i observed that you did not ask for a balcony so we could'nt know that you desire a room with balcony , we gave you a room with no balcony but just a french window that you can open entirely
I hope to see you soon and you can be sure that i will do everything to do to make your holiday a perfect holiday

My Best regards

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was small but that is what we expected for a hotel in Europe. But the bathroom was HUGE, modern and so nice. Every staff member was pleasant especially the woman at the front desk when we checked in. Unfortunately I forgot to ask her name but she literally came out to help bring our suitcases when we arrived by taxi. She was so sweet and showed us places to eat nearby. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Staff very keen and friendly.
Hotel room clean and nicely furnished, room not huge (standard in Paris) but very comfortable.
Mattresses quite hard, which my partner appreciated but I liked less.
Easy to reach by public transport, and walking distance from many of Paris's landmarks.
Open 24/24, with possibility to leave luggage for safe keeping.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up are quieter, and give a (tiny) view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony.

We were greeted warmly (in English) as early arrivals and provided a room - we had hoped at best to be able to store luggage after our "red-eye" from Boston. The Ares is lovely: well-appointed but comfortable, quietly luxurious, upscale architecture. All the amenities and qualities of a large grande hotel, but every benefit of a small, intimate inn. The staff: beyond reproach! Just the right balance of friendly and professional. It was so nice to return to our little haven each evening, having seen as much of Paris as we could in a day. A nice rest to refresh before dinner; often welcomed back by the owner. Bed and bath roomy (for Paris), comfortable and spotless. Restaurants from very fine to small cafe within a block of the Ares. Markets one street over for bread, produce. The street market on intersecting Avenue Suffren is held on Wednesday and Sunday - a treat. So much within walking distance! Eiffel Tower, dinner cruises on the Seine, Musee Rodin, Invalides, and very easy to use the metro close by. The Ares was a great find; a perfect spot from which to base ourselves for a perfect week in Paris.

My partner and I had a great stay at Hotel Ares. Special thank you to the staff for their professionalism, generosity, and resourcefulness. There is free wi-fi and adaptors available for you to be able to plug any type of charger you may need. The rooms were very cozy and extremely clean and the bathrooms were very modern and exquisitely decorated with Versace tile. The Paris Metro is literally right around the corner, which can get you to all the major sites in minutes. The RER C line is 2 metro stops away which is great when traveling to Versailles, we made it from the hotel to Versailles in roughly half an hour. The Eiffel tower and Champ de Mars are about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. They also offer a shuttle to take you to/from Charles de Gaulle Airport. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.

My girlfriend and I stayed four nights in Hotel Ares..and it was wonderful, beautiful, quiet, and the owners and staff were AMAZING…We had our luggage lost from the Airline and were without our clothing, toiletries, and everything we had packed for our stay in Europe..Paris was our first stop..The staff took care of us and called the airlines constantly until the owner actually took us back to the airport on day four and got our luggage with us! (please don't think this is service they provide!) Enrico spent the entire with us collecting our belongings and brought us back to the hotel, where we greeted with a hot latte and smiles form his wonderful wife and staff!

The hotel in located perfectly a 8 min walk to the Eiffel Tower! They showed us all the great Bistros and stores all walking distance from our clean quiet beautiful home away from home…
The other great part of the hotel and location is that your a short ride away from the mother tourist locations close but far enough away where the prices are better and your not smothered by tourists…PERFECT!

I will never stay at another Hotel when in Paris…Plus the entire hotel had been updated and remodeled beautifully! Thank you Enrico and Family and Staff for making a difficult start to a vacation a truly wonderful experience…PS the beds and pillows are as cozy as my moms house!

Thank you
