the britannique is a wee gem. Central location means that all the major sights are within walking distance. There are several good restaurants just round the corner. As other guests have commented the rooms are small, however having a king size comfortable bed makes it worth it. The staff are very friendly and recommended several restaurants for us and booked the table (as they were all busy due to superb french food). Breakfasts are good but the breakfast room is small and i'm not sure what it would be like if the hotel is full, saying that there were no problems when we were there, and plenty of choice from a buffet. We happened just to mention in the passing that it was my birthday and came back to find some fresh roses in the room as a birthday surprise which was a lovely touch. Our room faced the front and had the floor to ceiling window making it lovely and light (quiet street at night too). The friendly staff and central location means that I will certainly return

We stayed in a Hotel Britannique Classic Double room for two weeks in Nov-Dec 2011.  In summary, I would not want to stay anywhere else in Paris.

We wanted a hotel that was beautiful, welcoming, and filled with French charm.  Hotel Britannique surpassed our hopes. The staff were always friendly and helpful, no matter what time of the day. The common areas of the hotel were beautifully decorated. And nothing could be more French-charming than the spiral staircase and the cosy elevator.

Our room was the piece de resistance. It was stunningly decorated and a joy to call home for two weeks. The look and feel was perfect - it could have been nowhere other than Paris. It was exactly what we wanted.  It was always impeccably clean and serviced, complete with fresh roses.  Both the main room and the bathroom were beautiful, and well sized, and everything we could want.

As first time tourists in Paris, Hotel Britannique's location just couldn't be beaten. It was minutes walk from the Latin Quarter, the Louvre, and all of the attractions of the central arrondissements.  Hotel Britannique was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Paris.

Stayed: November 2011

Just back from Paris & stayed here 4 nights. Typical Euro small rooms but nicely decorated & furnished w/a comfortable bed. Bathroom is fine & the windows (floor to ceiling) open onto a juliet balcony w/nice breezes. You can walk to everywhere - furthest we walked was to the Eiffel tower - 90 mins one way - but that's quite a hike for a lot of people. Metro station across the street - train to CDG a 10 min walk. Notre Dame 5 mins; Pantheon 15 mins. Quiet inside - we heard the room next door's close whenever people came & went but that was no big deal - don't understand other comments about thin walls. Warm bilingual staff - will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you're staying longer than we did, upgrade to a larger room; ask for a room @ the back of the hotel - restaurants & bars across street in front

This is truly a wonderful Hotel in a great location. We had a room with 2 single beds. The room was larger than I expected.Nice touches were the bowl of fruit on arrival, the tea/coffee tray with kettle that was replenished each day. We also enjoyed the cosy little lounge, off the reception area, where you could sit and read after a day sightseeing. The staff friendly and very helpful and a bonus there was an english speaking lady available to help at all time. The hotel was very quiet, and was a wonderful respite after being out and about all day.

Room Tip: Request upper floor rooms with balcony
