We arrived at the HRC at 7:40pm for a reservation made through The Fork of 8pm. There was a very long line up to be seated, so I asked the employee near the door where we need to go. He rudely directed us to the back of said line (using English). A few minutes later he announced to the line that it was a minimum 1 1/2 hour wait for a table (again in English). My boyfriend then asked "even if we have a reservation?", to which the employee responded in French (as if he could not speak English) something along the lines of "a reservation, you wait in the line." We finally got up to the podium and were told that even with a reservation, we were looking at a 1/2 hour wait. What is the point of making a reservation?!?! Thankfully, another employee (Claire) realized that we were getting upset and sat us right away.
We were greeted at our table by a wonderfully vibrant and friendly waitress named Daniela. Every time she came to our table, she made us feel a little bit better about coming to the HRC. The food and drinks were good and the service from Daniela was amazing! Thank you Daniela!
I recommend that if you do not want to wait over an hour for a table, make a reservation. But please go into the restaurant knowing that you will still have to wait for a table, just not that long.
