“Straight out of a movie/magazine-AMAZING”
Reviewed 13 March 2012

I was lucky enough to stay here for a business meeting in Paris. The entire hotel--lobby, sleeping rooms, meeting rooms, restaurant--looks like something out of a brochure for a place you want to go but would never find in person. I'm just glad I didn't have to foot the bill personally! Even if you don't stay there, try their bar, especially if you're there in the spring/summer/fall and can sit on the patio.

Room Tip: Rooms facing rue St. Honore are amazing and quaint, but noisy during the day.

Me and my partner walk passed this hotel every time we are in Paris and keep saying we will stay there next time so this time we decided to. We arrived in the morning and was greeted by really friendly staff, our room was available straight away which is great when you are arriving off an early flight, offered coffee, breakfast etc...so far perfect. We are shown to our room we booked a Mandarin Room. We had previously looked at rooms before and this wasn't what we were expecting however we called down to reception and they showed us 2 other options and they really wanted to make sure we were happy. We choose another room which wasn't ready but they allowed us to stay in the other room until it was. We were bought welcome drinks, fruit etc which is always a nice touch.

We had lunch in Camélia restaurant which we have eaten in severally times, the service is always impressive and the food is to die for. We had lunch here Saturday and Sunday it is always a lovely lunch. The puddings are a little taste of heaven.

Our room was ready after we'd finished lunch and the new room was beautiful, beautiful views of the courtyard and beautiful rose petals in a heart shape on the bed and around the bath it was so romantic. The rooms are a really good size and the bathroom is amazing. The rooms have everything you could possibly want.

We booked spa treatments for Saturday and Sunday. My partner had an aromatherapy massage which he said was amazing one of the best he has ever had. I had a facial my therapist was great it is by far the best facial I have ever had it was so relaxing. On the second day we had a couples room and both had full body massages, I had the same therapist and she was just as good, I always find massages hit and miss depending on the therapist and their technique, she was amazing and it was the best massage I have ever had, I felt so relaxed. They really make sure you are comfortable, from the oils used to the lighting, music and heating, if you can get an appointment I would highly recommend having a treatment. The pool is also wondering and very calming and peaceful.

We had some cocktails in Bar 8 which are delicious....the only 1 issue we had was when you are in bar 8 you have to go to the other side of the hotel to use the toilet as the toilets right by the bar are only for the use of guest eating in the Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx restaurant which is very frustrating.

We ended up staying an extra night because it was such a lovely place to be, very relaxing. Everyone is very helpful and friendly and would definitely recommend staying here if you are travelling to Paris!

Room Tip: In the summer I would definitely stay in the Mandarin Terrace Room. Request a room looking over th...

Dear Donna,

What a delight it is to read your review! We are very grateful that you dedicated some of your time to writing commentaries on all aspects of your experience at Mandarin Oriental, Paris. Thank you.

Surely, you made the most of your stay among us by visiting the Camélia, Bar 8 and by booking treatments at our Spa.

It is true that our property is designed with the romantic aesthetic of the artists of the 1930’s in mind. By the way, have you noticed all our references to May Ray’s masterpiece “The Kiss”?

We will share your thoughts with all the staff. We look forward to having the pleasure to welcome you back in a near future.

Sincerely,

This place is the cats mee-aww great location, super lux. It was expensive but we got one free night through amex program so it eneded up being pricy but worth it. Room service is amazing with lots of goodies everyday. The staff will walk you to any place in the hotel to make sure you get there. THe conciernce can get you tickets to any venue, or place you wish to see. They love macaroons.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quite and lux

Wonderful facilities, comfortable beds and an excellent location. The staff at the Hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The ensuite bathroom is modern, spcaious and comfortable. The spa, gym and pool are easily accessible with comfortable changing facilities. There a lots of shops locally and if you are sightseeing, there is easy access via the metro at Concorde to the sights to the north and south as well as being virtually on top of the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay.
