I have been to Paris three times and this hotel was by far my favorite. The location is unbeatable with all the shops, bistros, restaurants and night life. The hotel is very neat and clean. Our room had the view of Notre Dame. The employees were friendly and very helpful. A special thanks to Michele who gave us fantastic directions to our various destinations and was very patient with us. The decor of this hotel is very rich, warm and cozy. The Metro is nearby as well as the taxi stand. There is a wonderful bakery across the street if you don't feel like eating a full breakfast which is offered at the hotel. Starbucks is also nearby if you need a coffee fix. The hotel price is very reasonable for Paris. Our room was small, but the bathroom was very adequate in size. Also be aware that that the elevator is very small and this is not unusual for Paris. Both of us could get on the elevator with two moderate sized suitcases but there was no room to spare. We were on the 5th floor which I recommend for views and less noise. The room's walls were thick enough that we could not hear our neighbors. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. It is also close to the Luxenbourg Gardens, Saint Michele, Notre Dame, and the Louvre.

Room Tip: Our room 505 had a fabulous view of Notre Dame and it was quiet. We could hear the courtyard fountai...

This hotel was fantastic for our first time being in Paris. At time of reservation, hotel offered CDG shuttle, use it! It was easy and cheaper than bus or taxi. We rented the Deluxe Suite and were not disappointed. The price was high but had deal; breakfast buffet was included. The suite was very spacious as we were a family of 3, room slept 4. It came with a fridge, so we easily found grocery store near by and also saved on dining costs. Wonderful Bistrot St Germain nearby as well as many cafes. This district is truly wonderful! 10 min walk to River Seine, 15 mins to Notre Dame and about 70 min walk to Eiffel Tower. What better way to experience Paris than by foot! Highly recommend Vedette du Pont Neuf boat ride, they run every hour and economical, catch the sunset boat if you can. Breakfast had decent variety, our teenage daughter loved the crepes and chocolat chaud (hot cocoa) served with warm milk. From our suite we were in awe of the view of Eiffel Tour and Notre Dame right outside our roof top windows (6th floor). Warning: hotel elevator is small (3 thin people max) and room key activated electrical for room.

If St. Germain is your place for visiting Paris this is your hotel. Price/Value speaking. Clean. But incredibly small for our taste. Reception was always helpful at all times. The hotel is right next to the Odeon Metro station. Across the street there is an Eric Kayser bakery for breakfast or a snack. RIght on St. Germain blvd. I would highly recommend NEOBISTRO, always with a smile and they serve breakfast after noon. We would recomend this hotel but be ware as are most of the rooms in Paris, its small.

The review from jaskav below is spot on. The hotel is lovely and the location is wonderful. We took the RER train from CGD airport, and were able to walk to the hotel from the St. Michel stop- under 10 minutes. We could walk to most of our destinations, and there is a metro stop very nearby.
We, too, thought that the breakfast situation was uninspired and not worth the money. We regretted that we didn't just walk around the corner to have croissants and coffee in a cheerier atmosphere for a few euros. The staff members we encountered were not very welcoming or helpful. This charming little hotel deserves better! We would, however, definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in Paris.

Its was good value for money and reasonable service, small cab ride to the center of Paris.
Quite family district with atmosphere. More relaxing that staying in the center. Friendly staff.

There was a lot of local services such as a laundry, shops, train. It was one of the best districts I have stayed in Europe. The most relaxing part of my holiday. The room is small but the price was low. But the district was nice so you don't really need a big room when you have quiet areas.

Laundry can take up a lot of time, therefore its best to be near services when on holiday. Catching a cab when you have a lot of cloths is no fun. This area was ideal. I often think of St Germain when I hear of Paris.

The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location. We stayed here for 4 nights in September and while we enjoyed our stay, I think we could do better.

The hotel has some good things going for it, the best of which is the location. That cannot be beat if you want to be in the lively St. Germaine area (the 6th). Lots of bistros, cafes and patisseries within walking distance, many sights are a short stroll and the metro is at the end of the street. The room we had was quite large by Paris standards so we were happy with that. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean although very tired in its furnishing and decor.

The downside of this hotel is the breakfast and the staff. Some of the staff were excellent, some were mediocre and some were downright rude. One staff person in particular, Michelle, seemed to run hot and cold. We were almost afraid to ask her for directions or recommendations because we never knew if she was going to be pleasant or bite our heads off! And one young man who was on one night was completely useless when I couldn't get their internet to work. He just shrugged and said he doesn't know anything about technology.

The breakfast was plain as plain can be. Very medicore in every way except for the lovely lady who made the coffee and served. She remember us from the first day and could not have been nicer. They will make freshly prepared eggs but they don't advertise this and it wasn't until our last day that we noticed someone eating fried eggs and we asked. They should let people know that this option is available.

All in all, a good value for money but nothing memorable.

Room Tip: Upgrade your room. The basic ones are tiny.

We stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights at the beginning of our 3-week France vacation, and two more nights on the back end. The hotel is very nice and cozy, situated near the Latin Quarter and across the street from a handful of lively cafes in St. Germain. Both rooms were clean and offered plenty of space. The first room had an enchanting window view of Parisian rooftops that included St. Chapelle and Notre Dame. The second room was incredibly spacious with a separate sitting area. We had breakfast in the hotel every morning. It's pretty standard - pastries, cheese, deli meats and butter. There were hard boiled eggs and cereal, too. On the last morning, a guest requested an omelette and the waitress stepped into the kitchen to prepare it. We weren't aware that such requests could be accommodated, so keep that in mind if you're tired of the standard offerings. The front desk staff are very friendly, exceptionally helpful, but do keep in mind that some of the evening staff don't speak English (but they're more than happy to play charades and help you figure out your request).
