Very expensive hotel for what is offered. Stayed here in August and in the process of booking another trip to paris. I have stayed in the Latin quarter 3 times and for the price the room we had needed a little update. Our room was for 3 people facing another building in a court yard. The linens and comforter just seemed old. I stayed at a cute hotel the year before same time of year and half the cost. The breakfast not worth the cost, very limited selection. The staff does the basic, not that helpful on tour information. Although the night staff gentlemen very nice and helpful. Loved the location but would not stay here again. I will try to book the hotel I stayed previous year.

This was our first trip to Paris and didn't really know what to expect with our hotel. We have all heard the stories of closet size rooms. This is not the case at Au Manoir. Our room was large. It had a king size bed, desk, and a small refrigerator. The bathroom was large and had a great shower and large tub. Perfect for soaking after a day of sight seeing.
The Au Manoir is within easy walking distance to the Louvre or Notre Dame. There are a few Metro stops close by that will allow travel all over the city.
We felt very safe in the Saint Germain area. Lots of trendy shops and fantastic restaurants.
Where I feel we made a mistake was the breakfast. When we booked our room I thought breakfast was included. It wasn't. That little mishap cost us an extra $60 per day! Unfortunately for me I deleted the conformation email so I was not able to verify if breakfast should have been included. The breakfast was good and the lady that waited on us every morning was excellent. However, there is no way it was worth $60.00!!

This is the best area to stay in Paris without a doubt. The Louvre, Notre Dame, even the Eiffel Tower (half an hour) are in walking distance. It is less busy than the shopping area of Blvd Hausmann and is very well connected on the Metro. There is no shortage of places to eat too.
It is not a cheap area, but Paris is not a cheap place (if coming from Australia).
The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is good but to charge extra for fresh orange juice or a boiled egg is a bit silly! Staff are very friendly.

We flew into CDG and were able to take the RER & metro to a stop right across from the hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to everywhere you want to go! We booked an upgraded room. We were on the 5th floor facing St Germaine, loved being able to look out and see Paris. The bedroom/living area was spacious, the bathroom a bit small but that is expected in Paris. The service was great our room was always cleaned before we returned. The host/hostess at the desk were always friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed many times in st germain when in paris as a couple, this hotel has anexcellent location as already described in previous reviews, close to many fabulous restaurants, metro across the street however you could easily walk to the louvre, notre dame, musueem d'orsay etc.
If its your first time in paris take one of the bus tours to understand your location and then you will be able to walk every where. The hotel itself does not have much by way of amenities, no bar as far as I could see, the pictures make communal areas look much bigger than they are, that siad the bed was very comfortable and our room was very comfortable if a little unusual, the bed is on a lower level when you enter the room and almost cave like, it was that quite I slept like a baby, would I recommend this hotel?Yes I would.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights on our 29th anniversary trip to Paris. The location is perfect for sight seeing as it is within walking distance to all the big attractions. Shopping is plentifull and right around the corner. There are amazing small bistros and cafe's all around you and appear to be on every corner. The street musicians love to use the church parking lot kitty corner to the hotel. We would pick up food and wine, sit in our room and eat, while we were serenaded by them. The desk staff amazed us with their efficiency and friendly service, no matter how small or large the request they were there to help and make you feel welcome. The room was much larger than we were expecting for a european hotel room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Room Tip: We had a room on the front, the windows opened and you could listen to the street musicians playing...

Small , charming 4 stars hotel right in front of Café' de Flore and St Germain des Pres, next to Brasserie Lipp and Ralph's - the beautiful yet quite pricey Ralph Lauren's restaurant. Walking distance to the Louvre, the Latin Quarter, and the Luxembourg Gardens. One of the few Parisian hotels of this standard where I could book a triple room for me and the children, instead of paying for an extra room. The interior decor was nice, the room very well appointed, with cream and brown checks and toile patterns. The bathroom had a bathtube and fluffy bathrobes, but was nothing special. The bed was super comfortable, the bedding as stylish as everything else in the room. Our room was overlooking the pretty courtyard and therefore was very quiet. My only complaint would be about the layout: narrow and long, there wasn't much space between the bed and the window. Everything else was flawless. I would definitely go back.
