“Lovely hotel in the best neighbourhood!”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

We stayed here for 4 days and were immediately impressed by the friendly service and old fashioned charm of this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and "Parisian" (sorry!) with windows that open to a courtyard and fresh air. You cannot beat this hotel due to its proximity to the historic St Germain district of churches, cafes and shoppes. It is very convenient to the Metro and public transport. We did not try the 15 Euro breakfast but there were many choices nearby and it was easy enough to walk out and fine a place for Petit Dejeuner.

What a lovely team... We felt at home... but in Paris. Good rooms, godd breakfast and good service, and good value for money... Who needs more than that in Paris? The location is splendid, vis a vis 'Le Café de Flore"and by the side of "Brasserie Lipp" and "Cafe Armani"... Metro, buses, only a few steps. The best stores in Saint Germain, an the best book sho in the wold across the street: "La Écume des Pages""
... Strongly recommend...

Room Tip: Upgrade if you like a larger room...

Stayed for 6 nights with our daughter and we were all very comfortable. The room decor matched the pictures online and it was extremely clean and very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful, even when we discovered that we had to extend our stay one more night (without a reservation). The subway station was right across the street so we used the RER to get to and from the airport and the Metro to travel all over Paris and even out to Versaille. Only two complaints: if your room faces into the courtyard, you will be woken each night at around 4 am by the bar staff next door sorting their recycling, so you'll need to close your windows and the breakfast was poor value for the cost. We paid 15 Euros each for bread, cheese and a few cold cuts and then 3 Euros more for a small plate of salty eggs. We tried Cafe de Flore across the street and were charmed by the ambience but dismayed by the prices (5 Euros for a tiny jar of jam!) The cafes around the St. Michel Metro station were far cheaper. Some included baguette, jam, cheese, bacon and eggs, and cafe au lait for 9 Euros. For dinner, we ventured out further from the hotel and found some wonderful cafes, including Au pied de Fouet. Aside from the breakfast issue, it was a good holiday made very convenient by Au Manour.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street side.

This small hotel is on the other side of the Cafe des Flores on Blvd St Germain. It's a french hotel, so the elevator is very small, and so is the rest of the hotel. But our room, 105, was big for european standards. Very clean, small bathroom, but fully renovated. The concierge was very nice and helpful. They speak french/english and Portuguese ! I recommend this hotel for anyone who loves to stay in St Germains.
The only thing they could add to the room, is some shelves in the closet.

Room Tip: I presume the rooms in the back are more quiet.

Au Manoir is a small elegant hotel in the heart of St Germain de Prés, next to Brasserie Lipp, Cafe Louise and Armani restaurant, and across the street from the Cafe le Flore and Les deux Magots. Almost all attractions in central Paris are at walking distance. We really enjoyed staying in the hotel. The rooms are small but beautifully decorated. We had a room on the street side (third floor) and a room on the courtyard. Both were quiet. The windows are properly insulated. Breakfast was excellent. Personnel was lovely. Tips for restaurants always excellent. Will be happy to go back. One tip for equipment in bathroom: add small enlarging mirror.

Room Tip: We had rather small rooms, so if you require a larger room you should ask for it specifically.

This is a nice small hotel in a great location in the year of St Germain des Pres and close to the Latin Quarter. The Metro. And the River Seine.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.

Large room for Paris. Expensive as well. But that's Paris. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Room Tip: No idea. Our room was great on 3 floor front.
