I stay at this hotel 2-4 times per year, and have done so for a number of years now. Those are personal trips, so I have a choice as to where I book a room. This hotel is truly a pleasure to stay at.
The hotel itself is modern and well cared-for. Though a bit away from the center of Paris, the location itself is very nice, quiet, and safe. Nearby Bercy Village offers a range of shops and dining. A station for Métro line 14 is at the village, which makes getting into the city very quick and easy (a few minutes and you're at Chatelet, Pyramides, or Madeleine in the heart of Paris). The breakfast buffet is well-stocked and offers a range of hot and cold options, and the waitstaff is quick, friendly and efficient.
If you are able, I would recommend booking at least a Deluxe room, as those are on higher floors and provide nice views.
For me the biggest attraction of the Pullman is the staff. Many of them have worked there for years and take the time to get to know the guests. As someone who has become "a regular" of a sort, they recognize me immediately and know me by name. I find that to be a part of the charm of what could otherwise be an impersonal hotel experience. The people at the Pullman really make the "large hotel" experience feel like you're staying with friends or family. That's a testament to the type of folks they hire (and retain) there, and I place a high value on that type of traveling. The Pullman is a home away from home, a place where you're greeted warmly and sincerely each time you enter the lobby. They take the time to offer whatever assistance you might need, whether you are visiting Paris for the first time or have been there quite often and are looking for something different to do. They consistently offer excellent advice.
Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with a stellar staff. Highly recommended!
