“Value for money, location - just about perfect!”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

I stayed at this hotel 3 times, and attest that it offers real value for money. If you're on holiday and consider 3-star hotels, this is your best choice:

- location takes the prize, really: a step from Louvre, Seine, Rivoli, Place des Victoires, just 2 steps from the Avenue de l'Opera, and multiple other sights.

- staff are always helpful, attentive, and considerate. I couln't complain even if i wished to.)))

-Timhotel Le Louvre is obviously busy year-round, but it's clean and quiet. Oh, and there's a lovely small patio.

- breakfasts are fresh and hearty: every morning you get fresh freshly baked pastry, cheeses, bread, cold cuts and cheeses.

- strong infrastructure in the vicinity: restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies, even a top-notch pattisserie round the corner. Anything you wish - it's all there.

- The one drawback is lack of space. However, it's easily redeemed by location, and service.

- Internet:Wifi connection was weak, but you can always use a computer at the lobby.

Room Tip: For me, there's no alternative to Timhotel Le Louvre in Paris.

Location - 'parfait', easy walk to the Marais, Centre Pompidou, very easy walk to the Louvre and the Seine...Our rooms were clean and comfortable. My friend's had a mysterious noise problem one night - gone the next - that was vaguely addressed by the staff, who could not identify the source. They were generally friendly though and most spoke excellent English. One booked our canal trip direct with the company, which was really helpful. Three downsides - a very awkward design of shower -fixed, high - you had to get close to the wall to benefit from the water and so close to the taps it was interestingly easy to turn them off in mid-shampoo...Surprising too that the staff were unfamiliar with the key bus routes close to the hotel, including one to the Gare du Nord. A charge for the safe was also unexpected - this should be included as standard. But overall, can recommend this hotel as a safe and central base.

Room Tip: Mine on the 5th floor had a balcony which gave the small room a more open quality...

Location, location, location. Amazing location, steps from the Louvre. The room was incredibly small, there is the bed and that is all, no extras or frills, but they are clean. Elevator is hilariously tiny, bathroom also incredibly tiny, specifically the shower, if you're on the larger side, best of luck to you. You're in the heart of Paris though, you're never going to be in your room anyways.
Took the train from London in and walked to the hotel, quite close to the station.
Stayed for a week and enjoyed our time here, nice staff, great location, and Paris was amazing.

The location cannot be faulted and the reception staff were great. However there were some quirky faults that meant we only give this a 3 star rating.
The room was small - we couldn't fully open the bathroom door as it hit the bed. However it was comfortable and we weren't in the room long enough to have a problem with the size.
The shower did cause some problems as the pipe on the shower head was split and there was no shower curtain. So having a shower meant you either had to keep a hand on the pipe or drench the whole bathroom.
One annoying thing was the complete disregard for the "do not disturb" sign. We had hung this sign up as we had a lot of washing hanging in the bathroom drying and didn't want someone to have to dodge around our smalls trying to clean the room. However twice we returned to the room to find it had been serviced. Once the cleaning lady was still in there so we showed her the sign and she just smiled and continued cleaning. I see in previous comments we are not the first to experience this. It would be good for management to explain to their staff what the sign means.
Breakfast was adequate. We had the feeling that there wasn't enough supplied as it seemed to almost be running out when we came down and we were far from late risers.
Having said that, the location was prime, it was clean and comfortable so with a few easy changes it would be a gem.

The location is great, the rooms simple, quite small but clean. The staff are friendly, would definitely stay there again. Great bars and restaurants near by. They let us check in prior to the quoted time, which is still good at 14:00, also check out is 12:00, also great. Thank you

Easy walk to Chatelet les Halles RER station so easy to get to from CDG airport avoiding the need for a taxi.
Rooms are tiny and bathroom also. Our room was super quiet, it overlooked the inner courtyard and there were literally no noises from the hubbub of Paris.
Location is excellent a short stroll to the Louvre and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Breakfast was pretty good and worth pre booking at a discounted rate.
If your agenda is somewhere central to visit the sights then this is a good choice. However it is not a hotel for romance and leisure - you will want to spend the minimum time in the room.
Based on price it rates as good. Paris is mega expensive.

The Timhotel Le Louvre is a great hotel for a short stay. There is sufficient storage space for a few days but not for a longer stay. The tea and coffee making facility is a bonus, with fresh biscuits daily. The staff are friendly and speak a few languages but sometimes you will have to wait for the right person. The rooms and hotel are kept clean and although I did not use the buffet breakfast I saw that it was also good and well presented.
This hotel is ideally place for Les Halles Metro and RER station with links to Airports and also close to Louvre Rivoli and to Palace Royal Musee de Louvre soon to be integrated with Louvre Carousel shopping and restaurant Centre (Les Halles is also being developed as a great shopping centre and I advise exiting by the Point Neuf exit when making your way to the hotel). The hotel is at 186 Rue Saint Honore opposite the Culture Building with it's wrought iron work exterior artwork.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay here but were initially given a cramped double room but when I pointed out we'd requested a twin room we were given room 408 which seems to be in a more modern wing of the hotel where the rooms are larger (rooms ?07 to ?10 on each floor) the lift is small and old fashioned but my friend was able to use it with both our luggage and we used it often during our stay. There is wi-fi but it does not work well higher up the hotel, there is also a computer in reception which we used to book in for our return home flights.
This is an ideally situated hotel for sight seeing and has good restaurants and patisserie around it, also a chemist and supermarket nearby. There are also souvenir shops close-bye and good links to all the main sightseeing venues.
I found the Parisians helpful and friendly and felt very safe in Paris and around the hotel.
