The hotel has great and friendly staff, it is well located in Le Marais neighbourhood. Rooms are of a reasonable size but walls and carpet are old and dirty. When I arrived the elevator was not working.

My husband and our 2 little girls (aged 2 and 5) have just returned from Easter at this hotel in Paris. We had a junior suite as we were all in one room and it was very spacious. The cot was up and ready for us and the sofa bed made up for our excited 5 year old. The room was huge, clean and comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep in a hotel ever!! It was so quiet and the curtains were nice and thick which kept out the light. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the Bastille metro station which is on the yellow "1" line and handy to reach all the attractions. The breakfast was expensive at 14.50 euros each for adults but it was excellent and really was "all you could eat". We would happily recommend this hotel to both couples and families.

I recently spent 10 days and nights at the Villa Beaumarchais with my partner and would highly recommend this hotel. From the time they picked us up at the airport to the time they brought us back for our flight home. They are organized, friendly, professional which made our stay seamless. The hotel is charming and off of any busy street which made it very quiet with no street traffic noise. All rooms face an inner court yard that had nice foliage. We had a standard room and it was of adequate size with a good sized bathroom. In some European hotels there is barely enough room to walk around your bed! I personally would ignore any negative reports on the hotel. I travel frequently for pleasure and this hotel is one I would gladly stay at again when in Paris. They have a first class staff.

Room tip: If booking far enough in advance and you want a standard room ask for one of the corner rooms.

Dear Guest,

We are glad to receive this “wonderful” review about your recent (long) stay at Villa Beaumarchais and you thank you for sharing it on TripAdvisor!

We always try to give the best quality of service to all our guests and this kind of review is a great reward for our team.

As you said, our hotel is located in a very quiet street. However, the Villa Beaumarchais is situated in the city centre and it is close to the subway.

We look forward to welcome again for your next stay in Paris.

Sincerely,

Villa Beaumarchais ****

A great little hotel, the Villa Beaumarchais is tucked away down a side street off the Boulevard Beaumarchais, yet it is is close to all the major Paris attractions - either by Metro or walking and the Marais district itself is delightful with excellent restaurants and bars within a few minutes of the hotel. We stayed three nights in a party of three couples and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel so welcome, and all the staff we met were so helpful and friendly. The rooms are fairly compact, but nicely decorated (it made a change to to stay somewhere with a bit of atmosphere and which was a bit quirky and different, rather than a bland chain hotel). The rooms were spotlessly clean, with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms may be a bit dated, but again they were spotlessly clean, All the rooms look out over the inner covered bar/restaurant area so are very peaceful and we slept very well. We would definitely stay at the Villa Beaumarchais when we next visit Paris.

This hotel has a pleasant, if dated, style. In my opinion it is not a 4 star hotel but if you like 'old style' Parisienne style then you will like this hotel. The hotel is themed in gold and plum colours throughout. Reception is small but always open. Very helpful staff.
Our twin room was on the small side but did have a fridge but not tea/coffee making facilities normally found in a 4 star hotel. The rooms are clean and have a free safe and wifi. The bathroom is small and has very dated frayed fixtures and fittings, again not of 4 star level. I have a slight restriction in movement and found it very awkward to use the toilet which is located in a very tight space with only about 25cms to manoeuvre between the wall and the wash basin. I also found it difficult to get into the bath to have a shower as the shower is located over the bath.
Sleep level was good as all rooms face into an inner courtyard area away from the main boulevard.
The area around the hotel has a few shops and cafes but there are local tourist areas with many more chops and cafes. We found the hotel just too far to walk into the central Marais area (or to any of the major tourist attractions and Paris is VERY big) however there is a choice of nearby metro stations and a bus stop nearby. I found the metro system difficult to use as there were many steps and few escalators and long walks underground to connect between lines (the Hotel is on line 8). We found the better option was to take the bus directly outside the hotel. Bus number 20 takes in most of the popular areas including the Bastille, Republic, Opera (for Gallery Lafayette) and bus number 65 takes you from outside the hotel directly to CDG airport. The bus routes are clearly marked at every bus stop so it is easy to find your way around by bus. There are various ticket options available depending on the length of your stay. While the hotel is a little off the beaten track to walk to places we found the bus is a good alternative.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel and the bar downstairs was small and we never saw anyone using it.
All-in-all a pleasant hotel but with some disadvantages for visitors with mobility problems.
We booked the hotel as a 'secret' option and so got a good deal, however I would not choose this hotel and definitely would not pay the advertised price. Also, I think the 'secret' companies who use this hotel are not being honest when describing it as being in the 4 star category.
