Stayed for five nights, and every night was comfortable. The pampering starts the minute you check in. We were escorted to our room and were shown all the amenities, very impressive. The suite was very well laid out. The quality of towels, pillows, mattress top of the line.

I cannot praise this hotel more highly! We reserved months in advance and were given an upgrade upon arrival. The check-in staff, seated at a concierge desk, were friendly and helpful. A tour of the public areas and an escort to the room were on offer.

Our junior suite made a very good impression. I was originally attracted to La Clef Louvre because it provides kitchenettes. Ours was beautifully appointed and neat as a pin. It included a crisp white tablecloth to place on the table in the sitting room alcove to enjoy a leisurely breakfast (though the superb array of items on the hotel’s breakfast buffet is equally tempting).

The decor of the suite is very chic, with a ‘30’s vibe, using shades of grey, buff, and white, with accents of plum: Soothing to the eye and very sophisticated. The toilet, in a room separate from the bathroom, includes its own sink. The suite has two large closets, an inset dressing table, and two narrow balconies which overlook the narrow back street abutting the Palais Royale. I was very impressed by the intelligent design of the suite, which is very roomy and makes excellent use of space.

We slept well in the large bed, supplied with a comfortable white duvet and multiple pillows. We appreciated the top quality toiletries, fluffy robes, and slippers. The rooms were superbly maintained by the housekeeping staff.

The location of La Clef Louvre can’t be beat. It is steps from the Louvre and the Metro, and close to many appealing restaurants and shops.

La Clef Louvre is the most satisfying hotel we have stayed in during many visits to Paris over the years. We plan to stay there on any future trips and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Great people who were efficient, helpful and very friendly. They want your stay to be great. Our room had a kitchen plus a washer and dryer which we used to help keep our luggage needs to a minimum. Fantastic location. Just a few blocks from the Louvre meant we could walk everywhere.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are like mini apartments with all the features and service of a hotel.
