Walking and shopping together!! Great at night time and especially in Christmas time! Shopping can be combined with food and coffee!

strolling the Champs is a must. the shops are fantastic, some are high end others are not. it is a great place to sit at a sidewalk cafe for a n espresso or a Pernod and watch the people walk by. don't miss getting a glace (ice cream) from an side walk vender.

It´s an OK avenue, for me just a pathway to the arc. Liked the trees and all but.... I´ve seen more beautiful places than that in Paris. Maybe today´s bad weather influenced my opinion.

Widest, busiest street that I have ever seen. So many cars and motorcycles buzzing about. It was crazy. We had to cross the street to get to the Roma Pizzeria that we had decided to eat at and ended up getting inside just as the skies opened up for a little thunder storm. We were glad we were inside for awhile. After eating, we strolled up the avenue and window shopped. See the pictures of the Louis Vitton flagship store and their window.

Great to start at the Arc de triomphe and walk down, past all the shops, the place de la concorde, through the tuilleries and on to the Louvre.
Great for "normal" shops that you can afford to shop in (there are a few more expensive ones too), although there's lots of tourist tat shops too. People watcher's paradise. But just beware buying drinks outside cafes; always more expensive than drinking inside.
