This pre-Christmas visit was our second two night stay at this hotel in three years. Previously we had a ground floor room facing the pretty courtyard, but found it gloomy, so this visit asked for a third floor suite. This gave more light and an extensive rooftop view. The suite was over two floors, with stairs leading from the lounge and bathroom to the upper bedroom, a sort of mezzanine arrangement, so unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. The queen-size bed was extremely comfortable, but the limited choice of TV viewing might stop us from making a third visit.
The staff were obliging, smart, competent and had an excellent command of English. The courtyard approach to the hotel was impressive, with a magical display of white Christmas lights. The foyer and lounge were warm and spacious with comfortable chairs, a chess set, a bowl of fruit and an honesty bar; a lovely gesture in this day and age. Returning from our long day of shopping in the early evening, we requested a massage and, although the spa staff had gone home, a masseuse returned to the hotel and gave my daughter a sports massage she thought the best she'd ever had. Meanwhile I sought out the sauna, but it was broken, so I soaked in their jacuzzi instead. The changing room was clean and warm. We had a continental breakfast in the hotel's spooky crypt the first morning, but went out for breakfast the second morning. This is quite a gentle hotel with an air of tranquility in the middle of bustling Paris.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for taking time to let us have a precious feedback on your Christmas stay with us.

First of all, we are pleased to read that the room you had chosen this time suited your expectations in terms of comfort and overlooking and that you appreciated the facilities so much. We like to make our guests feel home when they come back to the Relais Christine after a long day in the city and we are glad that this is how you felt when using our lounge and honesty bar.

In terms of TV viewing, we propose indeed a lot of French channels but also the main foreign channels that might interest most of our guests. As for our sauna, you will probably like to know that it has had major repair and is in perfect functioning!

We truly hope that these few inconveniences will not keep you from coming and visit us again soon!

Best regards,

Stayed at this property last year for 5 nights (wish could be more...) It was my 3rd time in Paris, and decided to change my choice of hotel stayng in the left bank, and made no mistake. At our arrival got an upgrade to a larger room, nice decor, confy beds, good qualitity amenities. Close to many tourist attractions, nice places to eat at Blv.St.Germain. If you like to walk as we do: Louvre,DÓrsay,Notre Dame...walking distance.(And Metro options close as well).Shopping options in the area. It was winter when we visited Paris, and after a day exploring this marvelous city, we felt like home when returning to the hotel - warm and cozy. Excellent and welcoming staff, doing everything possible to enhance your experience. Angelina box of cookies - a nice touch. We had breakfast dayly (got an excellent fare)and if you can do not miss it: fresh bread, and pastries , choice of juices and fruits, and delicious coffee as well. The hotel is located in a very quiet street, and in a safe area. Definitely our choice when returnig to Paris.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view room.

We spent 3 nights here after Christmas and liked it a lot. Fab location between Boulevard St Germain and the Ile de la Cité, easy to walk everywhere - or, even better, to cycle on one of the hotel's machines. We chose a standard room, which was quite small, but bigger than some other Parisian bolt-holes we've experienced. Very comfortable room, attractive lounge with honesty bar, very nice staff, excellent breakfast (careful which option you choose - can get €€€). We couldn't enjoy the garden at this time of year. Strongly recommended.

We stayed at Relais Christine for two nights in November. The location is very good, walking distance to major tourist attractions and also walking distance to good shopping and Restaurants. It's also pretty close to the Metro/RER stop so it's easy to get there from the airport.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful-- we had on right next to the elevator and never heard it. Super comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was very pretty and functional. The room was a little dark and not much storage space for clothes and luggage. We had a window that opened onto the garden which was really nice. The outdoor space seemed really nice and the bikes would be great in better weather. I recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for nearly two weeks and could not have been happier. The staff was lovely, the room was quiet, the location was terrific. There are nice restaurants right on the same street and an old movie theatre just in front of the hotel. The lobby living room area was a relaxing place to sit, we enjoyed the little courtyard in front and we borrowed the hotel bikes and took Sunday morning bike rides. The only disappointment was that the back garden is only open to guests whose rooms back on it. Also, like many Left Bank hotels, the breakfast room is in the basement, though it is an atmospheric basement.

My best friend and I stayed here during a girls' weekend. The staff at the hotel were knowledgeable and always happy to help. The rooms were gorgeous. The location can’t be beat. The only complaint is that we partook of too much delicious French food, all within easy walking distance of the hotel.

My wife and I spent a week at this hotel, Dec. 1-8, 2013. It was wonderful. The location was fantastic, a few minutes from the Seine and the Rue de Buci (a gastonomical paradise) and Notre-Dame. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room dates from the Middle Ages, 1200 or 1300 or so, with a vaulted ceiling made of hand-hewn stone. Breakfast itself was outstanding, with pastries, cheeses, porridge, fruits, yogurt, eggs, bacon, etc. The room was not large but quite comfortable, with a king bed and a great shower. Our room faced the street, which is small and generally quiet; the windows were double-glazed and kept out most noise, but we did have some street noise a couple of times During our stay, the hotel decked out the front courtyard with fake trees. covered with fake snow, and lit up. Delightful! (see photo) They also have an exercise room with aerobic equipment, free weights, and an exercise machine, but we didn't use it because we did so much walking around Paris. FWIW, we were worried about our travel date (early Dec.) because we expected it to rain every day, but as good fortune would have it, it did not rain at all. Early Dec. proved to be a good time to go ... cool rather than bitter cold, no hordes of tourists, and lower rates. As to value, the hotel is not cheap, but is worth it for the location, the rooms, and the quality of service. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms not facing the street are quieter.

Dear guests,

It is very nice to read that you had such a wonderful stay in Paris. Weather is unpredictable of course and you had actually the great luck of visiting our city during an exceptionally dry month of December!
What a nice comment on the overall facilities of the Relais Christine! I am most pleased that you found everything to your taste whether it concerns the building, the accomodation or breakfast.
As you mention, the location of our property is definitely a key asset and I am glad that to cap it all off you had the surprise of discovering our Christmas decoration!

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.
