Dear Lesley P. ,

It’s such a delight to read your comment ! Make our stay very special is our priority.

The American Breakfast is set up every morning offering a large variety of organic and tasty products (included in the room rate when you book in direct).

Our staff and I would be really happy to welcome you once again for your second trip in Paris.

With my best regards

For my first trip to Paris my stay here was not that bad. It is smaller than what would normally be expected and may drive some people crazy being unable to have access to a more open area for dining/having a drink (they have a small home type bar)...but....on the plus side it is just tucked away on a side street and not in the hussle and bussle. Very small hallways but the only way I can see this hotel being "no good" is if they were over booked. Or at max capacity. Other than that you feel like its only u and the guy at the front desk....

Dear Kidsy,

We thank you for sharing your opinion about Hotel du Ministere on Tripadvisor.com . All the comments of our guests are useful for our team and help us a lot in order to improve our services again and again.

The size of the hotel is one of its main particularity as it is a “Boutique Hotel”of 24 rooms, with personalized service and great comfort. You feel like you were at home !

We are located in a quiet street just in the middle of a happening area. The Champs Elysées are situated few minutes walk as the Tuileries Garden, or the nice shops of the Faubourg Saint Honoré.

We would be delighted welcoming you again for your next trip,

Kind regards

There are so many choices for hotels in Paris that the selection process can be overwhelming. After much research on Tripadvisor, we took a chance on Hotel du Minstere... We were not disappointed. The rooms are not large, but very well designed with a comfortable bed and a funky (that is a good thing) design. Breakfast was included in the rate and it exceeded our expectations. Our experience with the desk clerk Mireille was very positive as she served multiple roles in the hotel; desk clerk, bartender and concierge. We would certainly return again

Dear Howard Z,

Thank you so much for this review!

We are more than happy to read that you enjoyed our “funky” design and the large beds in your room. These beds are actually the same than the ones used in some of the famous Parisian palaces. Breakfast is very appreciated by our guests thanks to the variety and the freshness of all our products.

For your next trip in Paris, be sure that Mireille and all our team will be here to welcome you warmly once again!

With best regards

This very charming hotel with extremely comfortable beds offers a great treat to the eye by its unique retro design. The neighborhood is safe due to the proximity to the Elyssee.
Great food shopping at the Place de la Madeleine. High fashion around the corner

Room Tip: great shopping both food at place de la Madeleine and fashion in Rue Fabourge just around the corner...

Dear Jet 2011,

We thank you for your very kind review.

The design and also the high comfort of our rooms are among the main assets of our hotel. Then this unique situation, in a quiet street in the middle of a busy area makes it a very special place to stay in Paris.

We hope we will have the pleasure welcoming you again !

It's very funky and I'm trying to love the boutique hotel - I really am trying. But there's always some standard things missing.

Staff was bad. Not just rude and impatient with us, but not knowledgeable about the area. Not able to book us a cruise or suggest a Michelin restaurant. Really dreaded anytime we had to approach the reception to speak to the staff there.

The rooms were lovely. Small, but not ridiculously tiny. Bathroom was beautiful and actually quite spacious.

But for a relatively new hotel, there are issues with plumbing. Shower overflowed everyday. Drain was clogged. And the electricity turned off when we ran the iron and the hair-dryer together. And the safe didn't work.

Location was lovely - a 5 minute walk from Madeline cathedral and Metro station. A 3 min walk to the label stories. Situated in the business/political area, so a lot of handsome French businessmen roaming the streets nearby.

Breakfast in hotel was decent. Nothing to rave about - about 5 simple food groups on a small counter, but it was still a great start to the day.

I wouldn't stay here again - not because I hated it, but I think there would be better options around.

Dear Travelandread
This is with great attention that I read through your comment, it is so bad that you didn't post it before...
I took good note of your critics about the staff you dealt with in June and I am pleased to tell you that the team has been improved and reinforced.
The stay of our clients is a priority to us and we would be more than happy to welcome you again.
Wishing you a very good day,
kind regards

I stayed there in 2009 when it was 3 star hotel. Location is very good, situated a few steps from Champs Elysees. Service was fine. Now they upgraded the hotel and it is 4 stars boutique hotel. It looks a bit pricey but rooms are looking nice. Business type hotel with good facilities to arrange work sessions.

Loved my stay at Hotel du Ministre and i will definitely go back. Arrived at 9am from USA and room was not ready, of course. Wonderful front desk clerk Mireille offered another smaller room (#45) which was available immediately. i asked to first see the room before deciding and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it was quite small, up a winding staircase, but well appointed, spotless and had a very large glass-enclosed shower. i agreed to take the room which allowed me to have a nap and salvage my afternoon in Paris. Pros: convenient location, very nice staff, low key vibe, hip decor, comfy bed, great shower, high quality bath amenities, nice breakfast included in price, fun organic wine bar. Cons: dirty sidewalk in front, slow elevator, narrow dark corridors upstairs, small size of room, olacement of hanging lamp too low, room made up even though do not disturb sign was displayed. Overall, a great time. Special thanks to Mireille who checked me in and out, poured wine and gave good advice in French, English and Spanish.
