This little hotel is perfectly located just back from Boulevard St Germain in a quiet street. It is clean with a charming and elegant reception area. I had one of the tiny single rooms which was entirely adequate - comfortable bed, small desk with instant wifi connection and very nice modernised bathroom. But ... the bedside light was not working and the concierge was unable to fix it for my one night's stay. There was no toilet paper - a discovery I made at an inconveniently late hour. The tea I ordered for 7.30am (the earliest they could offer) did not arrive and at 7.45 I had to ring down to remind them. It then came very promptly. These glitches were a shame - otherwise I would happily have given it four stars. Would stay there again though.

Hotel Delavigne is a little gem. Sure the rooms are small (aren't they all in Paris) but the location couldn't be better - just a few blocks from the metro, good restaurants and walking distance to many sites. And the petit déjeuner in the funky basement is excellent - great croissant and fresh orange juice. The hospitality is excellent.

Excellent hotel. Located on a quiet street in the heart of Paris. Very clean, nicely decorated and cosy rooms. Very friendly staff. Francesco at the reception is very helpful and speaks fluent English. Good breakfast.

The hotel was reasonably priced and in an excellent location, quiet yet within the restaurant / cafe area of St Germain - terrific Parisian atmosphere. The rooms were a little small but cosy, warm and clean with good bathroom. The room was what we expected for the price and very good value, particularly with its location. Contrary to previous reviews we found the breakfast quite satisfactory and not over priced relative to what you could get in the local cafe's. The staff were also very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again for our next trip to Paris.

We had to cut our stay short and move to another hotel after two nights in this hotel. It was just awful. We would have gladly left the first night if it wasnt for the fact that we had to give the hotel a 48 hour notice before leaving or pay a "penalty".
Rooms were small, worn out dusty carpets and dirty torn faded wall paper, holes in the curtain and broken furniture. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and blanket on the bed felt dirty. The corridor to the rooms was very narrow, dark with low ceiling adding to the feeling of general neglect.
This hotel definitely needs renovation and we can not understand how it could have got any good reviews. We were definitely glad to see the back of this hotel when we left.

Overall this hotel met my needs as a solo traveler on only a two day leisure trip to Paris. Its location is central and is within walking distance of the Seine River, Notre Dame, and the Sorbonne in particular. The rooms had the basic necessities, including free Wifi, and clean, but lacked any particularly nice features. The breakfast was 10 euros/day and I opted not to take it. Many bars and restaurants and a shops are within walking distance, including several highly-rated eateries. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends who are looking for a budget-friendly, safe and clean accomodation without any extras.

The only selling point for this hotel is its location. As other reviewers have mentioned, the quality of the rooms can vary substantially. Ours was dusty, with an old, dirty carpet and faded and stained wallpaper. The bathroom was clean but dated. The hotel does not meet the standards of the price category in this area of Paris. In fact, we ended our stay earlier and went to a nearby hotel that was less expensive but substantially nicer. I would not recommend this hotel.
