“very well situated - does the job”
Reviewed 15 October 2012

the hotel is very well situated for a few days visit to Paris. It is walking distance to Notre Dame , near to the Metro and an easy walk to the clubs and bars of St Germain. The hotel rooms are like all rooms in Paris, on the small side - they are clean , quiet and have their own bathrooms. Friendly staff at reception. All in all yes would receommend and would stay there again.

Conveniently located on Rue de Saint Germaine, this hotel provided s nice room for a short stay.
Our room was clean, modern and looked out onto the main road. Despite this, we heard little of the busy traffic during the day or night.
Across the road is a laundromat ( very handy) and plenty of shops for brekky items so we skipped the breakfast offered at the hotel.
There is a luggage room we could use as we ended up checking out much earlier than we were leaving Paris.

A friendly welcome at recpetion that is not always standard in paris. We were given an 'upgrade'. Room was very small but nicely done, ok bathroom and windows that opened. Bed comfortable, not too hard like you often find in euro hotels. We didn't have breakfast because at €12 each, it was expensive. When we checked out we got the rudeness of a recpetionist who really didnt want to be there and couldnt be bothered to get off the phone. No issue, kind of expected in paris, you cant take it personally. Good location, easy to find and would stay again if could find a cheap rate.

the rooms are tiny and the area's incredibly noisy. I'm sure you can find better options in the neighbourhood for a similar price - the Henri IV just opposite is in the same ££ range and is miles better.

Everything that has been said about this charming hotel is true. Great location, 2 blocks from the Metro, 5 minute walk to Notre Dame, wonderful bakery one block away, near several restaurants. The renovations mentioned earlier this year are done, and the hotel appears rejuvinated. Our room was small, but who spends time in it other than to sleep? The bathroom was small also, but the shower stall was roomy enough. We would definitely return to this hotel in the future. The reception staff was very helpful, and intervened for us, with a shuttle mistake of some sort. Wonderful place to stay.

This hotel is located in the Latin Quarter, less than a 5 minute walk from the Notre Dam Cathedral. The room was smallish and we booked a double deluxe room, but it was well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was also small, but clean and modern. Importantly, the room was what the photo depicted when I booked! So often, that is not the case. The room had a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and in room safe. There was free in room wi-fi which worked well. The aircon was excellent and the windows opened for fresh air. There is a laundromat less than 50 metres away and dozens of restaurants and cafes closeby. The metro is only a 5 minute walk. A supermarket is also located just across the road. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the area, and the hotel was all that I expected and hoped for. I would stay again.

Room Tip: choose the deluxe room for a bit more space.

My husband and I stayed here and couldn't have been happier. The neighborhood is great! It really felt like we were staying in an apartment in Paris rather than a hotel. A bakery the next block over, a beautiful church across the street, and cafe's of either side it was a short walk to everything. A few minutes walk from Notre Dame and everything else in Paris. We also had the breakfast which some have said was too expensive. I thought it was not only a great value considering 2 cups of tea alone is about 8€, but it was also faster than eating in the cafe's. I really liked that we could just get up, get breakfast, and get going. The lady working down there was so nice. You could get eggs, sausage, bread, croissants, fruit, coffee and tea. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful, one even printed off directions for us, the rooms were very clean, the location was perfect. I will stay here the next time we go to Paris. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. The only thing that I could complain about was the elevator was very small, but it was more funny than anything. We just took the stairs most of the time. If you are looking for a great place, with a great staff and location for the best value, this is it.
