“Fair priced and very close to Notre Dame”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We've spent a 3 nights stay at Agora St Germain in March 2014. The room was very small, little bigger the size of the double bed (140 or 150X 200 cm, check the size with the hotel). That's the standard for parisian hotel rooms since Paris is highly densely populated and housing measures tend to be somehow "shrinked". There was a small cabinet and a desk. For a 4 days stay we did not even bother unpacking, so that was fine with us. The bathroom was comparatively more spacious and pleasantly just renewed. The only incovenience we had was with hot water, which seemed to be lacking in the evening. We've pointed that out at the reception and they were keen to help. We did not use any heating, since the room was warm enough. Our window faced the internal courtyard, which was overall quite. The bathroom was clean and the carpeting was acceptably clean. We did not have breakfast in, as the surrounding area has lots of cafès and boulangeries. Within walking distance: Bd Saint Germain, Notre Dame, La Sorbonne, Rue Muffetard, Pantheon, Quartier Latin, Hotel de Cluny, Restaurant La Tour d'Argent, Ile Saint Louis. We paid a 130€ fare per night. Pluses: personnel courtesy, position, price.

Nice an clean 3 star hotel in the center of Paris, only 700 m to Notre Dame and 500 m to next Metro station make this hotel the ideal starting point to explore Paris. The superior room was quiet and the size was ok. (For Paris standard I call it big.) The breakfast is typical French with croissants and baguetts. Around the Hotel you will find restaurants, some small shops and a market twice a week. Overall a good choice for a week in Paris.

Great location , only a few minutes walk from the Metro station and very easy to find.We were welcomed by a very pleasant lady and check in was completed quickly and we proceeded to our room.Having booked direct and paid for a deluxe room we were very happy to find our room on the 5th floor ,at the front with our own little balcony. The room was spotless and nicely presented , with a clean en-suite with a bath/shower,and very good water pressure meant a great shower in the morning.
Air con and double glazing plus soundproofing and a safe (small but ok for wallet and passports).
Breakfast was included in price, this was great as Paris can be expensive, nice coffee and fresh croissants was my choice every morning , but there was cold meats cereals fruit and yogurt as well.
Overall our stay was very enjoyable, the staff are very friendly and eager to help and the hotel was central which meant easy access to to the places we wanted to visit.
We would recommend this hotel and would certainly return if we visit Paris again.

Room Tip: book direct and get a great deal, also upgrade to a deluxe room

Highly recommended hotel. It had great location and always great service. Rooms were small and cozy, always clean. We loved them! Tiny elevator could be fun if you remember that you are in Paris in old building. Definitely will recommend to family and friends!!!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The reception is open 24 hrs, a nice and polite staff and all speak English. We did have to park the car immediately, and not leave it in front of the hotel. But if you exit the hotel with your back to the hotel, go left. Go straight on the intersection, past the church on your right and take the first right. You will be on Boulevard Saint-Germin. About 100 meters from the corner you will find the entrance to a parking garage. Good and not too expensive: 56 euro's for 3 days. Back in the hotel, our room was on the 5th floor. The elevator is very small! It barely fits 2 persons, but it got us up stairs. The room was very nice and clean. Maybe a bit small, but not a problem at all. It had a waterboiler with thee and coffee/chocolate (powder). There was a small fridge as well. The airconditioning was good too, outside it was 30+ degrees, so it was important to have a good, working airco. It has a big mirror on the cupboard, plenty of shelves, and the windows overlooked the inner courtyard. A very nice, cosy and clean room.
Downside: you can hear the metro.

The location is excellent. If you exit the hotel, take a left, you're 200 meters from Boulevard Saint-Germain. If you go straight another 400 meters you will see the Notre Dame! There, you will find metro stations and stops for the hop-on-hop-off busses.

On your checkout day, there's a luggage room on -1. Ask for it at the reception desk. It does hold luggage from other guests though, but it was a great way to have a last day in Paris without dragging your luggage around.

We would definately come back to this hotel, and recommend it to others.

After reading the reviews on this hotel we knew that the rooms were small and we're prepared for it. As we only used the room for sleeping it was not a problem. The reception staff were exceptional, polite and very helpful and the position was spot on for the area a two minute from Notre Dame and all the restaurants. We will certainly use this hotel again.

This hotel has been renovated since we were here last (5 or so years ago). It is in the Latin Quarter and within walking distance of some wonderful sights and things to do. The staff were incredibly helpful, really wonderful. The rooms are on the small side (as is the lift) but large enough to be comfortable. The bed was most comfy. The only less than positive thing about this hotel is the breakfast 'buffet'. The croissants were wonderful but the selection was very limited and the coffee was simply dreadful.
