“A warmth place in the heart of paris”
Reviewed 1 February 2011

As commented in some of the reviews I've read before visiting, some of the rooms are small (singles, doubles). But this cannot be an obstacle when compared to the friendly personnel, the cozy environment and the location. I will definitely stay here again; however, I'll make sure to ask for a room at the front side of the building, as back rooms have limited day light (If I had to stay in a single room facing back, I would probably feel depressed, due to the small size of the room and the lack of natural light).

My wife and 11 year old son spent 4 nights in Aug 2010. Found the hotel on Trip Advisor, reviewed all the comments and booked. No disappointments, location excellent, metro for 2 different lines 5 minutes away, rooms of course small but very clean and well appointed. Staff were excellent. The tiny little elevator was the crowing touch!

We stayed at Le Relais du Louvre in May 2010. The apartment provided wonderful and spacious accommodations for our family (2 adults and 2 college-age children). We felt as if we lived in the city rather than just visiting. Sightseeing and resturants were very convinient and the staff were always helpful, providing us with both directions and recommendations for dining and cultural activities. The Relais's proximity to the Ile du Citie was especially useful for us. We look forward to returning often.

This was our second visit to the Relais du Louvre and after having been absolutely wowed on our first visit by friendliness, helpfulness of staff, location and price, I have to say we were a little disappointed.
Some of this could possibly be attributed to the fact that we stayed on a weekend and the lovely Sophie was not in attendance. Staff, although responding to "Where can I find...." type requests, did make us feel as if we were intruding on their time.
The room left a little to be desired as far as cleanliness was concerned. On picking something up from the bathroom floor, I also picked up quite a few hairs none of which were my colour or length.
However I have to say that the first stay we had at the Relais was outstanding and maybe this was just a little glitch which I am sure sometimes happens. The location cannot be beaten. You are able to walk just about anywhere and if you can't walk, there is a metro station just around the corner.
Breakfast is quite expensive for what it is. There is much better value and quality to be had in the nearby cafes.

An excellent hotel with decent size rooms and bath, central location and a top notch staff. Madame Sophie, the manager, could not have been more hospitable and caring about her guests. Can highly recommend this hotel to all.

My husband and I cannot say enough positve, wonderful things about our 3 1/2 day stay at this enchanting, well managed, quintessential Parisian boutique hotel. The rooms are very feesh, comfortable and nicely appointed. Lovely updated bathrooms. This GEM sits across the street from the Louvre in a very nice neighborhood with wonderful restaurantst and cafes. It sits only one block from the Seine, Metro (RER), Saint Germain, Rive Gauche and Notre Dame. ten minutes to Tuileries and 10 minutes more to the Chant de Elysee and the Arc. We walked everywhere from here! The manager and staff are extemely nice, pleasant very helpful for dinning and touring suggestions.and metro info etc. they couldn't do enought o make your stay pleasant. They have a 24 hr desk attendant so getting in late is just fine! They will deliver a very Parisan breakfast , cafe, tea, croissants, jams, yogurts etc) to your room every morning at your schedule!
The fee per night is very reasonable for the quality of our stay here. very very very nice. I would hightly recommend the Hotel Relais De Louvre to any colleagues or family traveling to Paris! If we ever have the opportunity to travel to Paris again there is no decision as to where I will stay! It will be at ths hotel!! I loved it
