This is a small but friendly hotel situated close to a number of amazing restaurant.
Lovely comfortable bed, well maintained and good value in comparison to many in Paris.
Well located next to a number of Metro stations, we had the perfect stay.
Only negative is breakfast which is limited and repetitive but didn't spoil it for us.

Just returned from a week long stay at the Hotel de la Tour d'Auvergne. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely return. The rooms are small, and although I wouldn't call them luxurious, they are clean, well-maintained and the beds are very comfortable. The metro is a 5 minute walk so you can get anywhere you want to go. There are some nice restaurants in the area including Odette and Amie, Maison Mère, Rose Bakery and Le Pain Quotidien.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff who made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. They were all very helpful and friendly.

I had stayed here in 2002 things sure have changed & for the better !! It is well located with access to 2 metro lines. Our room was lovely, comfortable & spacious. Breakfast is quite good & can get you under way for the day. The staff was excellent & extremely helpful, very nice & knowlegdable about travel within Paris. Will go back for sure.

Room Tip: Personally don't like being on 1st floor but there is a great room there, we moved to 2nd floor...

Visited at the beginning of October with my mother, we stayed for one night en route to the south of france. Directions were good from Gare du Nord to the hotel, Staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave us all the breakfast information, yes the lift is small, but functional, easily fitted 2 adults and 3 bags. Rooms were great, very nice and well arranged, We were looking out over the street. Had a rest then went to ask the staff about a Pharmacy and restaurant locally, Very impressed with the knowledge of the local area, staff even gave us the best way to the Gare de Lyon the next morning

We stayed for three nights in early September, booking through European Destinations. Checked many hotels available to us and this one fit the bill just right. We had read about the small elevator and the 5th floor comments. It was no big issue for us, in our mid-50's, and my wife can sure overpack. Well we got the fifth floor. Small room with a great feel, with typical French windows opening onto the main street. Room 52 I believe.. We could not have been more pleased. Metro stops Cadet and Poissonniere were minutes away and while it's not the most popular metro line you just have to go a few stops to transfer to the main ones. As others have stated it's ten minutes from the Gard du Nord and easy to find. That was a big selling point as we didn't have to go up and down Metro stairs with our luggage..Staff was helpful and the (many choices, everyday) breakfast was just what we needed to start the day, walking ourselves into exhaustion. Be sure to pay the small extra charge. It's well worth it. Wi-fi was very good and included in the price. We would stay there again, except we choose a different arrondissement each time we visit this incredible city.

I almost forgot. Don't miss the Barbie picture in the breakfast room. Photos do not do it justice.

Room Tip: We loved the fifth floor. Street noise is minimal.

Hotel is clean and comfortable and was OK for stopover, there is no restaurant but plenty of cafés nearby. Staff were very helpful with regards to the metro and taxis, and spoke good English.
The hotel is walking distance from the Gare du Nord but you need a good sense of direction, the alternative is a taxi which is really a no-no in th centre of Paris and would cost lots.
We ate at Odette et Aimee this was recommended and th food was good.

Room Tip: I was in room 32 it was on the street but as it's a side street it was quiet
