“An oasis in the city with very comfortable beds and nespresso machine.”

Our stay was lovely. I needed to have two extra days and it was easily arranged. The breakfast each morning was perfect. It was easy to get to the metro either from the Bastille area or the Gare Lyon. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the little garden area in the front added such charm. My girl friends and I loved it.

“Absolutely the best place to stay in Paris!”

We just returned this past week from a 2-week trip to Europe, ending our vacation with a 4-night stay at My Open Paris. My husband and I, our three grown sons and their spouses, and a friend had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property. We have been to Paris several times and have stayed in beautiful hotels, but nothing can compare to this delightful experience. My husband and I and our friend all stayed on the ground floor property, consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living area. The kids (grown, but always kids to us) had three rooms on the second floor. The décor of each room is elegant and functional, the bathrooms are modern and spacious, and the property is beautifully maintained. The basket of croissants, orange juice, and yogurt left beside our front doors every morning was the perfect way to begin each day. Eanjo and Stefan were extremely accommodating and helpful from the beginning of the booking process to arranging our early morning transportation to the airport when we had to leave. The location of My Open Paris couldn't be more ideal. It's an oasis in the very heart of Paris. What a perfect way to end our family vacation. We would never stay anywhere else in this glorious city!

“Very enjoyable facility, located in a very nice area of Paris, and run by a great, caring young couple.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in My Open Paris. Situated in a courtyard, with a lovely garden, and central to many of the Paris tourist spots, and the great Metro system, Our unit was roomy, with a nice tub/shower bath, a little kitchen/dining area, and a comfortable double bed. Breakfast each morning at 8:30, was brought to our room in a picnic-style basket filled with fresh yogurt, croissants, coffee for our machine. and sometimes a surprise goodie. Only challenge was the stairs to our suite.

Antoinette was very helpful and accommodating from time of booking until check out.
The house was beautifully presented and ideal for our family of 8 which included three young children. Lovely modern decor.
It was in an ideal location for site seeing and also close to all forms of transport.

Close to Paris two major metro stations: Bastille and Gare de Lyon: A groceries store just ten meters away, a wine store, restaurants ... There is nothing else needed. Just stamina to discover Paris by yourself. The apartments are amazing, well kept and cozy with an aura of zen surrounding it. Even a small pond with Koi fish is included at not charge! Highly recommended!! The attention from the hosts were nor less than exceptional!
I can't wait to go to Paris and stay there again!

“Lovely rooms in a great area of Paris, BUT you should know...”

We stayed at MOP for about 3 nights last month. We found MOP here on Trip Advisor and decided that it would be a great accommodation for us and 7 of our friends that we were traveling with. The building, a lovely 200 year old property was charming and comfortable. The rooms were well appointed with just enough space and were very clean and central to the Bastille and other sights. The lovingly prepared breakfasts which are left at your door in a picnic basket usually included croissants, baguette, jam, coffee (to make yourself in the French press found in your room) and the MOST AMAZING yogurt I have ever tasted (don't miss that!)... The zen vibe was very cool, and there are two cute huskies that laze around the courtyard and come up for a greeting.

However, I should mention a few things that kind of disappointed because I did not see anyone else share this experience... the check-in time of 4pm is VERY painful. After traveling overnight (from the States) and arriving at about 9am, it is understood that most hotels or places will not let you check in till noon or a little later... 4PM we felt was unacceptable and extreme and there were no exceptions-- even though I had asked in advance and requested an earlier check in time, it almost seemed as if it was the first time it was mentioned. After making a day of it in the city, by 3:15 we just NEEDED to rest, we made our way back to MOP finally tracked down Eanjo and it wasn't until the clock struck 4pm on the nose that we were led to the room, which leads me to...

The luggage and the shoe situation... We TOTALLY respect the fact that MOP has a no shoe policy for cultural reasons, but I have to say, honestly, that it was a little bit of a hassle. You are given a cubby at the entrance to stow your shoes and then you have to clumsily AND VERY CAREFULLY make your way up the stairs with your heavy bags. There really is no one to offer help with your luggage (although Eanjo did say she could help a little later)... Then of course when you are ready to leave for the day, evening, check-out or what have you, you must then again make your way barefoot, or with socks to the entrance... not the biggest deal-breaker, but if you are older or need special assistance you should know this... its just something that you really don't want to think about when paying for a place to stay on your vacation...

Other than that, the place was quiet and peaceful and I would recommend it to people who are very low-maintenance, pack light, and like to go with the flow.

“Brilliant!”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Four couples travelled to Paris for my birthday in early May. We each had differing arrival and departure dates so each couple booked their own apartment at My Open Paris. This worked perfectly. All the apartments we stayed in were beautifully decorated and well equipped. Eanjo and Stef were wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. The cleanliness and attention to detail was superb. The daily breakfast was perfect, especially the home made treats and my special birthday muffin. The location was perfect close to restaurants, markets and with a supermarket right next door. It is an easy walk to the River where we often caught the bateau bus to all the sights. Everyone in our group was more than happy with our choice of My Open Paris. Eanjo organised private transfers to and from the airport for us all and our drivers were wonderful, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this as the best way to travel from the airport especially after a long haul flight.
