Located near the Montmartre, this small restaurant is full everynight. Need to book a table in advance, Food is delicious, fresh and well prepared. Try the Nem Hanoi, the bobun+nem or the crevettes coco. Service is attentive. They have also the smoothie with different kind of fruits.

Restaurant is small --> reservation recommended but not necessarily needed.
- Nice fruit cocktails
- below average starters
- Ok main dishes, everything in a marmite is a go for.
- flair is ok, service very good
- prices are a lil bit too high for quality provided

Will probably not go back as the asian restaurants around Opéra and Tolbiac are better.

Cheers

Small and very cozy restaurant in Montmartre, Paris. We ate for the first time in our lives Vietnamese and loved it.

For starters, there was cold Vietnamese spring rolls called banh cuon. As a main course we had Bun Bo Hue, a lukewarm beef noodle soup. The meat was sliced at the table by the waiters. Something we did not before, but it tasted fantastic.
I found the Chinese beer better than the Vietnamese!

I recommend any visitors to Paris to eat here!

Four of us went to Paris for only a couple of nights, and upon arrival started wandering around the streets of Montmartre looking for some food. Two of us will eat anything, but the other two included a vegetarian and an 18 year old lad with a restricted palate. We stumbled upon this place (around 8pm) but unfortunately they had no tables free, however told us to come back in 30 minutes. We returned and to our delight they had reserved a table for us.

The wine we ordered was a reasonable 21Euro, and went down a treat with the food, which included vegetable noodles, sizzling prawn hot pot, and delicious duck.

The waiters were very friendly and their spoken English was good.

All four of us would highly recommend this joint to any hungry souls out there who want a tasty meal in Paris.

Dan Bau is an excellent restaurant in the picturesque part of Montmartre. The food is outstanding and the prices very reasonable. When we arrived in the restaurant it was already late and almost no free chart , the staff nevertheless found a solution to make us feel comfortable. The food choice is pretty big, and although not flashy into your face restaurant, it’s worth finding it (in the strret full of restaurants). We highly recommend this place.
