“a gem in so many ways!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2012

the food is truly delicious! authentic french cuisine accompanied by some of the best wine in the world. the atmosphere? you'd think you were in one of those French movies were magic things happen. It attracts locals who enjoy their meal, chatting or reading. To top it all a heart-warming welcome by the owner and hostess who is a sweetheart. Don't miss it, and don't miss out on this artistic neighbourhood that's full of inspiration.

“Warm welcome with marvelous food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

We enjoyed a themed evening featuring British Cuisine. This isn't done often but we were lucky to book a table early and enjoy the remarkable food in a warm and intimate surrounding. I'll return to consume the regular French fare the next time I'm in Paris.

“Lovely friendly local comfortable place with food to match”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2012

Arrived late Friday night at 10pm, meet with civility and charm. Chefs wife? Maybe..
Pretty glass windowed room is smaller and welcoming, maybe 25 covers. At 10pm on a Friday full of clearly locals, enjoying their company and the last few glasses from their bottles of Red wine. So nice to see ordering by bottle not glass, although the option for not just glass but demi carafe is there.
Menu is limited but works..
Excellent, classic charcuterie plate, available small or large, had delicious salamis and one cheese that had depth that made the Menervois taste just right.
When the Tripe was asked for, it was suggested this may not be the best choice for my 17 year old son. Good advice as we both (I’m no Tripe eater, other offal …yes) enjoyed the delicious Confit de Canard, only observation was skin could have been crispier, flavour was just right.
When I asked for stronger cheese than the 3 offered, no problem and a cake size slice of strong cheese came straight out at room temperature. Delicious.
No problem having a taxi called and overall a very good local, yet utterly Parisian even Bouley, Boloud, Ducasse would struggle to replicate the simple success of evening.

“Merveilleux!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 September 2011

On a business trip to Paris last March, I had one of the most memorable dinners at ‘Le Coin de Table’. The restaurant is not big in size with about a dozen or so seats that are neatly arranged, but the space is well decorated and welcoming. Sophie, the chef and restaurant owner was relaxed and made the job look easy and seamless. All these wonderful things makes one feel warm and at home.
I loved the duck comfit that I had that night. The texture was perfect, juicy and tender. The wines are superb and reasonably priced. My friends and I finished 2 bottles! What an unforgettable Parisian night!
If you are in for a home style meal in a relaxed and cozy environment in Paris, try this one out. I highly recommend it!

“home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2011

I was invited to Coin de Verre with some regulars that never stopped raving about this place, and I wasn't disappointed. The food is simple, but nourishing and comforting. The cheeses were amazing. The wine list is carefully made, and super fairly priced; there are so many gems that you can try with not a lot of money. What the owners do is to pick the best examples of regional food and serve them in their simplicity. With some wine, and good friends, it is sweet life. If I lived in Paris, this will be my home away from home.
