“Great value & comfort for sightseeing Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2012

firstly great location - walking distance to Sacre Cour & plenty of buzzing bars & restaurants, yet in a residential area so was really quiet ( we were here in August so all the Parisiens had left!)
We have 3 kids so always difficult to get a decent hotel but this was perfect with interconnecting rooms, v clean, good firm bed & plenty of space, air con. Obviously as a chain hotel it has limited individuality but the staff were very pleasant & helpful & we got a good price deal on the rooms via an online agent - I can't fault this hotel & in a v expensive city it was really affordable . Short walk to v nice bakery for breakfast as the hotel breakfast was a bit pricey for us.

Room Tip: We had a 5th floor room to avoid noise.

We stayed at this Hotel for eight nights. The rooms were not clean, bed sheets dirty. Bathroom needs to be renovated. The maid would clean the room but would not take any dirty dishes or cups left on the room. We would have to take them out ourselves. I never seen something like this before. Front desk and breakfast room personnel were the best. Very helpful and friendly.

I went to Paris with my wife, Brother & Sister-in-law and Mother & Father-in-law to celebrate My Father-in-laws 70th birthday. The Hotel is situated on the northern side of central Paris and getting there was very easy from Gard en nor Rail station. The Hotel meet and greet reception staff were excellent and their Engish was superb. As a priority points member our check in was very straight forward and we were able to drop off our bags and go sight seeing straight away. The accomodation was nicely presented, spacious and had different choices pillow for a comfortable night sleep . Our room on the first night was a little uncomfortable as the air conditioning wasn't working properly so reception found us a fan (at 11.30 that night) until the Air Con could be repaired the next day. The hotel had a comfortable Bar and lounge area, however we didn't get to find out what the evening meal was like as we eat out every evening. Morning Breakfast was very "continental", however had a good selection. Hotel staff were excellent and happy to help with anything. "I had a propblem with the Free WiFi". The reception staff were particularly helpful in advising us on places to go and how to get there. Closeby were many places to eat day and night, the Metro, the Moulon Rouge and we all very much enjoyed our time in Paris

Room Tip: Don't get a room Street side, Paris is a 24/7 city and can be noisey

Stayed here for two days in July and it was great. As soon as we reached the Reception desk, Romain who checked us in, couldn't have been more helpful. Gave us shortcuts to all the main attractions and told as a bit about the area. Nothing was too much trouble for him. And the guy who was on duty at night was equally good, sorry, but can't remember his name. We got back to the hotel about half past midnight and had a wee drink in the bar and he came in and asked us if we wanted anything to eat! The room was small but absolutely spotless. One of the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. Would certainly stay here again. Minutes from Metro, Sacre Couer and lots of other attractions.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the front, ours was at the back and the view wasn't very nice at all.

We were a little concerned about staying in this area as we had read about the Montmartre area and it's reputation especially around the Sacre Core. However, we should not have worried it was a great location and we never experienced any problems during our 4 night stay.If you arrive by Metro I suggest you get off at Place de Clichy, walk up the hill behind you passing the Ibis hotel and crossing over the cemetary bridge, you will come to a junction, just cross over and take the 2nd road from your left which is straight facing the crossing. Keep on the left hand side of the road and the hotel is 3 mins ahead of you. Total walk about 15 - 20 mins mostly a slight uphill walk but quite easy. On arrival at the hotel you will find the lobby area is quite small with just 2 seats. The staff were very friendly and check in was fast and efficient. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and we stayed at the back of the hotel which was quiet. If you go back to Place de Clichy you can get a metro or bus to most parts of the city including all the important sites. If you are feeling fit you can walk to most places. Whatever you do I strongly recommend visiting Sacre Core which is a short walking distance from the hotel. The staff will advise you but beware it is a steep climb. You can go the opposite way and get the funnicular up the hill. The view is spectacular especially at night. We were not intimidated and just said no to any street seller and they politely turned away. I was concerned having read some reviews as I visited with 3 Asian friends but there was absolutely no problem. Just before you reach Place de Clichy going down the hill on the right you should see the windmill of the Moulin Rouge.I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I visited Paris.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you are a light sleeper.

They must renew this hotel and keep it more clean and up to date. I wouldn't stay here again. Not what I expect from a Holiday Inn

I would really recommend this hotel for the main reason that the location is great, the rooms are very comfortable albeit that they were slightly small and sterile but due to the price point I think, in comparison to other hotel I have stayed in in the city, this was the best value for money by far. My main reason for writing thus review is that the staff were really helpful, very pleasant and totally accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and they were all extremely polite and well mannered. Montmartre is probably my favourite area in the whole of Paris so it was more than ideal for my needs.
