Reviewed 11 August 2014

we have just been to this hotel and everything was great, very helpful, lovely girls in the breakfast room BUT I have 2 excepts - no tea making facilities and we had to pay 16euros for four tea bags and 2 cups - thought that was a bit much

plus we had ordered 2 early morning calls one at 5 am and one at 4.45am - the first one never happened and the second one was 30 minutes late -----we didn't have mobiles with alarm or an alarm clock with us ---also we missed breakfast those 2 days. Not sure if we would return now as we could have missed our tour appointments at other towns/city

Room Tip: higher floor with a view

Dear lunnett s,

We are so pleased to read your review and we would like to thank you for your confidence and precious help by spreading the good word about our property through TripAdvisor :-)

I am sorry to inform that we do not provide tea and coffee facilities for security reasons; however, please note that you can ask a kettle to our staff and we can provide you with one for your whole stay without any charge.

I would also like you to accept our deepest apologies for the two missed early morning calls; we would like to start internal investigation about it as it is quite unusual. Would you mind sharing with us your dates of stay in a private message? We must find what happened so that we can avoid any other problem of this kind.

I look forward to hearing from you and I remain at your entire disposal for any other question you may have,

Kind regards,

Cristèle, Guest Relation team.

We enjoyed 8 nights at this hotel. It was quaint, clean, very close to transportation (bus, metro, train), and walking distance to many sites. It was also easy to locate from a distance due to the proximity to a tall shopping tower that was lite with blue lights in the evening. Breakfast was good and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Although we would have enjoyed a swimming pool after our touring walks in the hot sun, I would consider staying there again.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your opinion further to your stay with us!

We are happy to see that our property and quality of service pleased you; shall you wish to enjoy a swimming pool for your next stay, I am sorry to inform you that we are not planning to build one yet :-)
However, we will undergo some refurbishing works of the public areas during the next winter. We would love to welcome you again starting April 2014 to discover a brand new Le Littré Hotel!

The tall shopping tower you mention in your comment is called the Montparnasse Tower and the view from the top of this building is the BEST of the whole city, with a 360° view over the magical City of Lights, and tickets are on sale at the front desk of the hotel.

Please feel free to contact us for any future request you may have, it will be a pleasure to be of any assistance,

With our very best regards,

Cristèle, & France, your devoted guest relation team.

We just spent five days here on our first visit to Paris and could not have been more pleased. Our room 803 had a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower which is an amazing site, especially at night when it lights up. Our terrace was great for relaxing with a glass of wine.
Our two room suite was perfect for my son to have his own space with a separate bath.
Buffet breakfast downstairs was nice and plentiful.
Jirimi (?) and Virginie (?) at front desk were tremendously patient with our limited French speaking and made sure of our readiness for our morning tours and directed us through the currency exchange process.
This hotel is on a quiet street but only one block walking distance from everything; cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, theatre, metro, currency exchange, shops and taxis everywhere. We loved being close enough to walk for dinner or drinks at night or just hang out and enjoy Paris.
And, Hotel Le Littre is centrally located to all the major tourist spots; The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Louver Museum, Arc de Triomphe, etc.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again. There's nothing not to like.

Room Tip: Room 803 has awesome views!!!

My two friends and I are staying at Hotel Le Littre right now. I wanted to write this review while the hotel is fresh in my mind.

Pros ~ very clean, close to transportation needed to get around town, on a quiet street, buffet breakfast, free wifi

Cons ~ staff members are not particularly helpful or friendly, it almost seems that we weren't their priority, we seldom got a greeting, the breakfast buffet is the SAME every day, the menu needs to be changed up a bit, the breakfast room is TOO quiet, perhaps some background music would be pleasant

All in all, not a bad hotel. I just think the hotel could up their game. With a little effort on the hotel's part I would raise my rating to four stars.

A really lovely hotel - great for sightseeing in Paris - we walked to all the sights - close to good restaurants and bars - our room was lovely however there was a drain smell which seemed to come and go. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly.

My wife and I stayed 5 beautiful nights at Hotel Littre in June. We were on the 2nd floor. Standard double room with queen size bed was just right. Our room faced the courtyard and was very quiet. AC worked great since it was warm outside. Room was small, but typical of Parisian rooms. Bathroom was nicely appointed. Nice breakfast & selection and the staff was so nice. Would have been nice if they changed the main selections every couple of days. The hotel staff was so accommodating. We got ill the day after arrival and they arranged for a doctor to come to our room on a Sunday night. He arrived in 30 minutes! What a life saver. The hotel location is great -close to Hop on Hop off bus, metro, and to some great restaurants and shops.

Went to Paris for 3 nights with railbookers and picked this one as it was in a diffferent area to where we have stayed before. From Gard du Nord it was easy to get to on Metro LIne 4 and when you getoff at St-Placide it is a 5-10 min walk depending how hot it is(it was in the 30's),we arrived and the reception people were very smart and very polite and friendly and got checked in very easily. The room was a good size and very nice and clean and well maintained, the beds were very comfy so we slept very well, as the hotel is well away from any main roads it very quiet so it was great.Inside the hotel is nice and it has a small bar behind reception, breakfast which was included is taken downstairs in a good sized room and as with all continental style it was plenty full and sufficient to full you up for a long day out and about. It is a goo place for the Eiffel(20-30min)walk and about the same for the Notre Dam and the Louvre without the need to use the metro and and park Luxemburg is on route to the river,so walking is deffinately the way to do Paris as you see so much. A good hotel to stay.

Room Tip: Any as the hotel is in a quiet area
