Reviewed 17 August 2014

This hotel is perfect for getting around Paris, a short walk from Montparnasse with all the restaurants and yet about 20 minutes from the Seine, trains are right there anyway. The welcome here is brilliant, the reception staff couldn't do enough to help us at all times. Breakfast is well worth the extra and covers everything, rooms are small but quaint, view rooms are very expensive and not required as you will be out all the time.

Room Tip: Don't pay for a view, you don't need it.

Dearest Chefphoto,

We first loved the title of your review :-)

Be sure that we shared your kind description of your stay with our whole team; we are thrilled to see that you enjoyed your stay that much and we would be more than delighted to welcome you again for your next visit of the City of Lights! Thank you for having selected our property for your stay, as well as for taking the time to write about it!

As three of our rooms with view are in the Superior category, rates are very accessible :-) For example, if you booked a double Standard double, the supplement to enjoy a Superior room with balcony and panoramic view on the Eiffel Tower and the golden "dôme des Invalides" is of 80.00 EUR per night!
These rooms are perfect shall you wish to oversee the sparkling Eiffel Tower at night ;-)

Please feel free to contact us anytime you have a question!

Warm regards from Paris,

Cristèle & France, your devoted guest relation team.

I recently stayed in Le Littre hotel in Paris for 5 nights. This hotel was wonderful! Excellent location which is really close to bars/cafes and conveniently located for local transport such as buses, trains and the metro.
The rooms were extremely spacious. The only fault with the rooms/hotel in general was a lack of tea making facilities in the room. I would expect this from a 4* hotel! When you come in from a busy day sight seeing the ability to make a cup of tea and relax with this in your room would have been very mcuh appreciated!
The reception staff were extremely helpful, they provided us with lots of helpful information about local transport - they were so informative and helpful! There is also the opportunity to buy museum passes and tickets for Montparnasse Tower which saved us lots of time queueing up for tickets at the attractions! The hotel also recommended restaurants for us to eat at in the local area.
We also had the breakfast at the hotel, which was lovely with a choice of both hot and cold food. Lots to choose from and the pastries were delicious!
All in all an excellent hotel in Paris in an excellent location. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a very nice hotel in the centre of Montparnasse which is one of the better areas of Paris. It is quite central to the main sights and close to the station as well. The rooms are larger than average for Paris with a good bathroom and also a usefully sized balcony with table and chairs from which we could see the Eiffel Tower. The public rooms are large, spacious and airy and give a good overall impression. The breakfast room is likewise very pleasant and the cold breakfast selection is fairly good. The cooked food however, left a lot to be desired. There was only one choice of egg, bacon and sausage all of which were frankly disgusting. The scrambled egg was one congealed mass which looked, and tasted, like rubber. The 'chipolata' type sausages were more like chorizo and in my opinion far too strong tasting for breakfast and swimming in grease. They, like the chicken sausages, had skins like rhinocerous hide and were also swimming in fat as was the bacon which was small, very fatty and greasy. We stayed there for four nights and each morning was the same so this was not a one off problem. This quality is simply not acceptable for a four star hotel! This is a great pity as the staff were pleasant and helpful and in other respects this was a very good hotel; had it not been for the poor breakfasts I would certainly have rated this a four star hotel.

Our stay here was very pleasant and located very close to many fine restaurants. The staff In Reception and in the restaurant were very helpful and happy.
There are options in Wi-fi from free (very slow and drops out) to paid which seems a little expensive compared to other hotels and European countries.
Whilst there was a heat wave during our stay, the hotel could have closed the front door and crank up the air-conditioning in the Reception area and ban smoking near the front door. The Reception and waiting area were very hot and if there was air-con there, it was ineffective and very uncomfortable. In general, smoking in Paris was pretty rife and in particular very noticeable with young ladies.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the lift if you have any physical limitations.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from Paris!

We have the pleasure to acknowledge receipt of your lovely review and would like to thank you for having chosen our property for your stay in the City of Lights!

Receiving your feedbacks is crucial to us as it enables us to take decision and keep on improving our services for your full satisfaction!

We indeed do not have air conditioning in the reception area for the moment and during heat waves if we close the reception door it is actually getting worst inside!
Please kindly note that we will refurbish our public areas next winter: your future stay might then be more pleasant :-)

We look forward to welcoming you again at the Hôtel Le Littré!

With our very best regards,

Cristèle & France, your devoted guest relation team.

we have just been to this hotel and everything was great, very helpful, lovely girls in the breakfast room BUT I have 2 excepts - no tea making facilities and we had to pay 16euros for four tea bags and 2 cups - thought that was a bit much

plus we had ordered 2 early morning calls one at 5 am and one at 4.45am - the first one never happened and the second one was 30 minutes late -----we didn't have mobiles with alarm or an alarm clock with us ---also we missed breakfast those 2 days. Not sure if we would return now as we could have missed our tour appointments at other towns/city

Room Tip: higher floor with a view

Dear lunnett s,

We are so pleased to read your review and we would like to thank you for your confidence and precious help by spreading the good word about our property through TripAdvisor :-)

I am sorry to inform that we do not provide tea and coffee facilities for security reasons; however, please note that you can ask a kettle to our staff and we can provide you with one for your whole stay without any charge.

I would also like you to accept our deepest apologies for the two missed early morning calls; we would like to start internal investigation about it as it is quite unusual. Would you mind sharing with us your dates of stay in a private message? We must find what happened so that we can avoid any other problem of this kind.

I look forward to hearing from you and I remain at your entire disposal for any other question you may have,

Kind regards,

Cristèle, Guest Relation team.

We enjoyed 8 nights at this hotel. It was quaint, clean, very close to transportation (bus, metro, train), and walking distance to many sites. It was also easy to locate from a distance due to the proximity to a tall shopping tower that was lite with blue lights in the evening. Breakfast was good and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Although we would have enjoyed a swimming pool after our touring walks in the hot sun, I would consider staying there again.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your opinion further to your stay with us!

We are happy to see that our property and quality of service pleased you; shall you wish to enjoy a swimming pool for your next stay, I am sorry to inform you that we are not planning to build one yet :-)
However, we will undergo some refurbishing works of the public areas during the next winter. We would love to welcome you again starting April 2014 to discover a brand new Le Littré Hotel!

The tall shopping tower you mention in your comment is called the Montparnasse Tower and the view from the top of this building is the BEST of the whole city, with a 360° view over the magical City of Lights, and tickets are on sale at the front desk of the hotel.

Please feel free to contact us for any future request you may have, it will be a pleasure to be of any assistance,

With our very best regards,

Cristèle, & France, your devoted guest relation team.

We just spent five days here on our first visit to Paris and could not have been more pleased. Our room 803 had a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower which is an amazing site, especially at night when it lights up. Our terrace was great for relaxing with a glass of wine.
Our two room suite was perfect for my son to have his own space with a separate bath.
Buffet breakfast downstairs was nice and plentiful.
Jirimi (?) and Virginie (?) at front desk were tremendously patient with our limited French speaking and made sure of our readiness for our morning tours and directed us through the currency exchange process.
This hotel is on a quiet street but only one block walking distance from everything; cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, theatre, metro, currency exchange, shops and taxis everywhere. We loved being close enough to walk for dinner or drinks at night or just hang out and enjoy Paris.
And, Hotel Le Littre is centrally located to all the major tourist spots; The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Louver Museum, Arc de Triomphe, etc.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again. There's nothing not to like.

Room Tip: Room 803 has awesome views!!!
