Great little hotel. Possibly a bit expensive for this property but location is everything. Very helpful staff and the property is in great condition. Our room was directly across from St-Germain-des-pres abbey so the view could not be better. The location is within walking distance to the best of Paris. Book this hotel!

Room Tip: Choose a front facing room. This being Paris do not expect the room to be huge (few rooms are). The...

I give high marks to the Madison Hotel. Room was very well appointed, comfortable bed and nice bedding. Something I really appreciate is great lighting - there are bright room lights, ambient lighting, reading lights, and the shower even had different fun lighting settings with changing colors. The bathroom is small but well-designed. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice but limited, and you would expect fresh eggs made to order at these prices. But, the breakfast room is pleasant and the women who work there are very nice, helpful, and efficient. The location of the hotel is just great - easy walking distance to the central city on both sides of the Seine, and two subway lines very close to the hotel.

We stayed here one night during our visit to Paris. They collected our luggage from our other Hotel (Artus) which was a member of the same hotel chain. Lovely hotel, very friendly reception and concierge staff, very clean and well kept hotel. There is a beautiful breakfast area and a full breakfast available. This was probably our best breakfast during our trip. Free wifi was available and we were also able to purchase advance tickets to the Louvre here which saved us a great deal of time queuing. The location is right in the middle of the St Germain area and close to many restaurants and cafes.

For years we stayed here before the renovation. Now the hotel is over priced with a poor staff, no turn down service, no water, and a large bug in our bed! Each afternoon a pushy lady comes to check your mini bar! The rooms are without character / kind of business like. Bad linens also with over stuffed pillows. The lobby is not a spot to invite friends for a drink. We have been traveling for over 2 weeks and have stayed in wonderful spots including the Palace in Barcelona. The Madison is the most expensive and the worst!

Dear Margaret Griffith,

We are so sorry to hear you were not pleased by the renovations of the Madison Hotel! It is a shame! Our intention was to modernize, to give the hotel a more up-to-date feel. We are sorry there is nothing you like about the new Madison Hotel! But please know, our group, Hôtels Maurice Hurand, includes four other hotels, all in very different atmospheres, the Artus Hotel, Hôtel de Buci (both in the 6th district and all much more intimate), Bourgogne & Montana, near the National Assembly, and the Terrass Hotel, in artistic Montmartre. We would love to welcome you in one of those hotels, hoping to be able to change your mind!

It was our first time in Paris so I wasn't sure where to stay. I was very happy with our decision to stay on Blvd St. Germain. Loved that we could walk out the door and find great restaurants, great shopping and ease of getting around. I was a little disappointed when we checked in that my friend was given a much better room then me. When I asked for a larger room, like my friend's, I was told basically NO and that I would just have to deal with it. I am not used to that sort of treatment but I'm willing to chalk it up to a cultural difference. :-) Once I got over the room thing, I enjoyed the stay. The room was TINY but very clean. I was there to experience Paris not hang out in the room.

This is a well-appointed hotel just off the hustle and bustle of Blvd. St Germain. Staff was helpful and courteous. My shower was broken. Staff arranged for me to take one in another room. This was inconvenient and made me late for a meeting. I asked for compensation (this hotel is EXPENSIVE) but was offered only a glass of champagne. Not sure why they couldn't offer a nominal refund, oh well. If you want a nice, cozy place within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, 2 Metro stops and shopping, I believe you will like it here.

Room Tip: I might choose a NON-view room as St. Germain is a big and noisy boulevard. You can get great views...

The Madison hotel is a beautiful hotel in the center of Paris. It was a wonderful, central location that made it easy for us to tour to all of the sites. The concierge Alexandre is incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful and impeccably clean. The hotel was in the hear of St. Germain. We upgraded to a room with a sitting area and the window was on The Boulevard St. Germain. Even though our room was on the Boulevard and we were in the heart of the city it was very quiet. The hotel was also very quiet, we did not hear our neighbors at all. When returning to Paris I would absolutely stay at the Madison Hotel again.

Room Tip: We were on the 6th floor on the Boulevard and it was very quiet.
