“Satisfied with my stay”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

We stayed there just one night but we were completely satisfied. As I have previous experience with various hotels in Paris I was not surprised with tiny elevators, other rooms in adjacent buildings, small bathrooms etc. Actually for the price we paid everything was great. Only the bathroom was really tiny for me - I am tall with broad shoulders and I had serious problem to approach the sink without knocking off the hairdryer with my elbow. But I was surprised how clean the room and especially the bathroom was. The location of the hotel is great - walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Invalides and Ecole Militar and few metro stops to Louvre and Champs Elysees. From Gare Montparnas in front of the hotel is possible to go to both Charles de Gaulle and Orly airport by direct AirFrance bus (or by public transport).
We did not take a breakfast because we could get decent breakfast for half price (or less) in many bistros and restaurants around. The tea and coffee was available in the room.

Room Tip: Front side rooms has decent view over the square but there is a noise from traffic all over the nigh...

This is a boutique hotel in a great location. Accessible by 2 different metro lines, very easy to get around and next door to several cafes and restaurants. They have free WIFI but you have to get a code from the front desk every 24 hours. They have 2 computers in the lobby, but no printer. To print tickets to events or boarding pass, etc you have to email it to the front desk and they print it for you. The staff is friendly but not exceptionally knowledgeable about tours and attractions, etc as they don't have a concierge. Rooms are small, but that's what you would expect in Paris regardless. The price overall is pretty high for an average hotel.

the timhotel has 2 buildings (not connected) on the same block--we stayed in the second one--the elevator is ultra small and the building looks like it was converted into a hotel--our room was quaint and we had a view of the street--there is a little coffee station in the room--the flat screen tv is small and way up on the wall--you have to shift it to see the screen properly--the bed was a little on the thin side but plenty of space for 2--the bathroom had an irregular shape --like an A--the toilet was at the top--if you're a tall person you're going to feel scrunched in--the shower is really a bathtub--you have the watch for the water because it will go all over the floor--the room was very clean--the breakfast is downstairs on the main floor and cost 9euros extra--it has a full array of food and is convenient--this place is ideally located about 3min walk from gare montparnasse--the wifi was down when we were there so no internet--we didn't mind--they do offer room service--the prices were reasonable --the front desk help was average --since it was during a heat wave while we stayed the room was very warm--they don't have AC--and when you opened the windows you heard the whole street--great thing is that they accepted dogs and we have two. A 6yr old dachshund and a 15yr old toy poodle.

This was a very cute hotel, very clean and in a very good location. You can find restaurants around the hotel and the public transportation is just across the street. We really like this hotel and the wifi connection works perfect. The room and the bathroom were small but is Europe. The staff was friendly.

I stayed for 4 nights during easter holiday. Good hotel, open 24h. Room not so big but very clean and cleaned every day. No noise eventthe room was on the strreet. Close to gare de Montparnasse, metro station (Montarnasse Benvienue) and lafayette store.
Free WiFi available in the room. In the room there is a bolier for coffe and tea.
Coplementary bottle of water for the first night.
Cloak room available for the guests where to leave baggages before leaving. No toilet in the hall for the guests (this is my only concern) only to wash own hands.
Price 80E/night for the room, booked some weeks before.
No particulary amenities in the surroundings.

Directly opposite the Gare Montparnasse and facing the new Commercial Centre the location could hardly be better. The staff were pleasant and efficient but the room was quite small. The en-suite was very cramped but a tribute to the designer's art. It's not the quietest of hotels with traffic noise from the nearby boulevard. But as a base to explore Paris, very convenient. The Tour Montparnasse, opposite, gives a fantastic view of the whole of Paris and is cheaper than Le Tour Eiffel.

Watch out for the tourist rip-offs, though. Arriving early, we went for lunch at a nearby cafe. We ordered 2 Formule du Jour, but the initial bill presented listed each item, separately. 15 euros more expenive than it should have been. My French was good enough to point out the error and a revised bill quickly appeared. How many non French speakers have been caught.
