“Small rooms in a good location”
Reviewed 20 November 2011

The reservation was done via internet and everything turned out fine. I stayed there for one night and it was perfectly ok. But yes, the rooms are small and I would not spend a week there. The lacking room size apart, there is nothing to complain, however. The service was adequate, though not exuberating.

There are no real sights in the immediate vicinity, but the area is very "Parisian", there was a huge street market on Boulevard Reuilly, when I left the hotel in the morning, which came as a nice surprise.

First of all we were a couple, spending our romantic trip in Paris in october 2011. We reserve a double room and payed the room before we arrive at the hotel for 7 nights. We were in many trips in Europe, like Wien, Prague, Turkey, Greece, etc. but never had so many trouble with a hotel or with the staff. The hotel has a modern design and atractive reception but....
I'm sorry for chosing this hotel because: small to little (with 2 luggage it was so insufficient space, because we didn't have any dressing to put them); bed small for 2 people and I think it was maybe a bad for single room. I must admit it was very clean. The next problem was the breakfast (everyday the same think: egg, bacon, ham, chesse, butter, and fruit salad) and on the last day I ask for toast bread and told me that they don't have any. Eating the same think for 7 morning belive me was no so delicios. And the last thing on my list was the receptionists who were rude many times including with me or my husband. They did not speak very good in english, they didn't know so many things about Paris and tretead us with arrogance. The staff is unprepared for customer demand and have no solution for them problems. We ask for a taxi, they adviced us to walk to the close station, because they can't call any cab, or ask for a pc connect to internet to make the check-in online for the flight, and they recommend to search a Internet cafe in town, being unspecified for the location.
Maybe are more things that get us mad and I don't remember now. Paris is a beautiful town and deserves to be visited not just once, but not in this hotel if you want to be in a good mood to enjoying Paris.

The size of the room was tiny 9 feet x 9 feet for a standard room. Asked to upgrade but it was only marginally bigger for 40 euros more so didn't bother. No where to put any luggage and one person had to lie on bed to move around room. No hanging space. Location was in the real Paris where locals live, train station nearby and good restaurants. Liked the markets outside the hotel on Tuesdays and Fridays. Staff were helpful and breakfast good. We stayed for 4 nights and were out each day until 11pm so we didn't have to use the room much.

Room Tip: I believe they have some suites but at what charge?

The rooms were charming and spotless. The shower was powerful and the hot water plentiful. It is worth mentioning that, while It didn't bother us because we travel light and don't do much shopping, the standard rooms are not large and don't have any storage to speak of. Having said that, they are in no way claustrophobic due to high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. If you do tend to have more luggage then I believe that the suites are more spacious. Be warned, the lift is tiny!
The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful.
The location wasn't central but was very accessible with Dugommier Metro station a few minutes down the road and Gare de Lyon only 15 minutes walk away.
We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that but we really liked this hotel and would definitely go back and stay there again.

Had a wonderful 1 bedroom flat at this clean, modern, upscale hotel. It is in a real Parisienne neighborhood, not near tourist attractions, BUT right on the Line 6 Metro to get anywhere in the city. Our room had living room, bedroom, huge bathroom, wifi, breakfast buffet was good. I enjoyed the restaurants and shops in the area.

I made a call before arrival to make sure our reservation through the internet was okm, which it was. I also asked by phone for a double bed not two single ones, which they did not take note as we discovered upon arrival but it was no big deal.
Overall it is a very pretty hotel outside with a very "designer" interior, however the halls are dark and unkept and the rooms and elevator are on the tiny side, especially for the price. There was barely any room for our luggage which was a carry-on. The shower was great, bathroom and towels clean, and the shower accessories very pleasant. No bath robes as I read another visitor comment here. Sheets were clean and bed very fluffy. However the two single beds are tricky and slide easily away from each other. There is no real front desk, just a small podium with a PC on it and the hotel representatives sit in a room behind the entrance. They were very helpful enough and spoke english. The hotel is conveniently situated between 2 metro stations (approx. 200 meters away) and on Saturdays there was a flea market going on in the road in front of the hotel, which was not loud as I expected.
