A four night stay booked through Eurostar for our 50th birthdays. The location of the hotel is great, 5 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and River Seine in one direction or The Avenue des Champs-Élysées in the other and surrounded by very classy stores! We booked a deluxe room and ended up with the black and white one (not wallpaper, but material) with a balcony on the 5th floor. Plenty of space. We ate each morning in the breakfast room (tip - the tables in the corners are larger!) fruit, yoghurts, breads, ham and cheeses etc - lots of choice. The staff were all delightful, especially the porter from Sri Lanka we met on our first day. They helped us with everything from theatre tickets to taxis.
We didn't use the honesty bar in the foyer, but did use the fridge in our room for our own champagne - just asked for glasses.
We bought a book of 10 underground tickets (13 euros), but otherwise walked everywhere. It is worth pre-booking any tickets for the major attractions as the queues can be very long. Allow plenty of time for your journey back to the railway station - the traffic can be very busy and once the gate is closed at Eurostar no amount of shouting will open it! (Father with 4 children who arrived too late!)
This was a special trip for us, the hotel was perfect, thank you.
