“This is a lovely small hotel just off the Rue de Rivoli, close to Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, and Orangerie Museum”

All four of us who have stayed at The Mayfair Hotel, and other Hotels in the area, on a number of occasions came to the conclusion that it is the best of several hotels in Central Paris. On discovering The Mayfair, we decided individually, and as a group, that this would be our first choice in future. This recent visit has been our third time to spend several days there.

All members of the Reception staff are very helpful, extremely accommodating, and go to a lot of trouble when asked for assistance with sight-seeing, restaurants and other requirements.
All of them speak several languages fluently.

The bed-rooms may be small, but are very comfortable, clean and convenient.
The breakfast room doubles as a bar, and there is a small, comfortable lounge. There are several "old world" features, the lifts being one.

The breakfast lady is charming, the porters double as waiters and bar staff, and are equally helpful at each. There is free Wi-Fi for personal mobile devices in the Hotel, and access to the internet is available at a small cost in the lounge.
The Mayfair has all the charm of a family-run Hotel, is convenient, and is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: I believe the rooms to the front of the Hotel may be noisy, but neither I nor others in the group ha...

The Mayfair is on the right bank, across the street from the Westin and a few feet from the Tuileries Garden and a short walk to the Louvre. This is a small hotel so there is a lot of privacy.

Our room on the top floor was just beautiful. Really. It's the top floor so the outer walls were slopped. We had two small balconies, good space and the walls were covered with fabric. (The hotel also has beautiful public spaces with nicely-done wood panels.)

The Mayfair has an excellent breakfast and the porter and people who run the bar/breakfast area are very pleasant. The front desk staff are not quite on the same wave length.

Like many French hotels, the Mayfair has an idiotic key policy -- you get one key attached to a metel medallion which you are supposed to turn in whenever leaving the hotel. This is fine if one person is staying in the room, but when there are two it inevitably happens that one person is locked out and must screw around to get back into the room.

Also like many hotels in France, the elevators are tiny. This is cute at first, and then airless. One elevator appears to hold no more than two people.

The right bank shops can be very expensive (we saw a sweater for $2,500 euro...) and the streets are filled with Bentleys and Ferraris. If you like that, this is for you. If you like less formal, then you want the left bank.

Fantastic location for us, walking distance to some of the great sites of Paris which was great.
Staff and front desk were very helpful and pleasant.
Our room was on the 1st floor facing the street and as mentioned previously it can get noisy as the Westin delivery entrance is opposite with people coming and going.
The room was ok, the toilet seat needs to be fixed and the shower head changing but overall nice.

Room Tip: My advise would be to request a room on a higher floor facing away from the street and you will have...

The Hotel is in a great location but the noise from the street and the service entrance to the Westin Hotel next door was unbearable. We were only able to sleep for a couple of hours a night as the employees from the Westin use the area as their smoke break as well at night. This is no way to enjoy a vacation at a price of about $600 US dollars. I have been to Paris about 10 times, and I must say this was the worst experience I had with a Hotel in Paris.

Room Tip: Don't get a room on the Street

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for six nights, October 2 - 7, and found the facility, staff and location to be really wonderful. The location is within walking distance to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Magasin Lafayette and numerous cafes, jewelry shops, etc. We had a twin room that was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. All of the staff were helpful to us, they all speak English and make certain you have all of your needs addressed. The breakfast that was included in our room price was a perfect start to each day: freshly baked croissants, buns, sweet breads; fresh French yogurts (yum!), cafe au lait, teas, juices, fresh frutis, charcuterie and cheeses as well as omelettes made to order. Yes the price is higher, but you are in a lovely and safe location with impeccable service. Just like real-estate: location, location, location.
My husband is now excited to return to Paris with me, and suggests we stay at the Mayfair, as it is so close to the gardens, museums and shopping.

Room Tip: A room that opens to the couryard will be quieter, but it was nice to be able to open our huge windo...

We stayed here for the weekend and the Hotel is in a fantastic location! Right opposite the Tuileries gardens and the louvre. Walking distance to Loads of places. Really close to Concorde Metro stop. The area is great for restaurants and boulangeries etc with Rue St Honore really close by. So yeah - really great spot for exploring Paris.

The Hotel itself really isn't anything special. It is Paris and by definition hotels are expensive there, but I was slightly disappointed to be honest. The room was a good size, though it smelled funny. Couldn't quite pick what the smell was - stale smoke mixed with perfume maybe. The remote for the TV was missing, the Safe didn't work, the bed was rather small for 2 people.

The breakfast is definitely not worth it. Pretty standard to be honest. Cereal, fruit, etc etc. Croissants and a few pastries, but you are in paris, for about a 3rd of the price you could go to any patisserie and get croissants a million times better.

I must say, the service was quite good though.

So mixed review there. But was a mixed experience.

We were happy with reception, the breakfast and staff service. It is in a good location and gives easy access to the Metro and major sightseeing highlights. An issue with WiFi was that it often would not connect in the room but was available in the lounge. At 10 euro for 24 hours it was expensive considering that all other hotels we stayed at during a month in Europe provided free WiFi.
