As previously mentioned by other reviewers, the location is good. The hotel is less than good. Apparently it is 4 star, I don't know how that can be. We know rooms are small in Paris, so that wasn't a real surprise but the bed or specifically the mattress was dreadful, we rolled into the middle it was that old. Lucky we only had one night booked there. We will be back in Paris, we won't be back at this hotel. The room however was spotlessly clean and we found the staff the be very friendly.

Where do I start. The location is good. The Hotel is awful! The reception staff had far better things to do than see to guests. The lady, when we checked in, did manage a smile but then continued to chat to her friend, the men just frowned. We were not given any information just handed our key. Our room was tiny & the bathroom like a cupboard. We had booked a twin but there was no room to separate the beds. The pillows, we had one each, were like blobs of cotton wool. The bedside lights did not work neither did the light outside our door. At our request they replaced the bulbs in our room and brought extra pillows - although the night porter wanted us to go down and do it ourselves. We had to move the chair in front of the dressing table to get round the other side of the bed and remember not to stand by the side of the bed when someone was in the bathroom as the door opened out! And to the bathroom, oh my goodness, it was filthy. I could go on and on, I have a long list, but suffice to say it was old, tatty and filthy!! Four star - the Parisian are having a laugh - no sorry they don't!

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel!

Let me start with the only two good things- the location and it's in a quiet cul de sac.

The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms even tinier. The reception staff are unusually rude, even by Parisian standards of rudeness. How the French board of tourism dishes out stars beats me, because this ain't no 4 star hotel, even with an exotic imagination!!

Steer well away from this one- you won't be sorry

This hotel is two star and three star or four star. Outside appearence looks good . Very small room . Location is good and convienient from city center.Staff receptionist are helpful but cant do much about the aircondtioning. There is nice vegetable market in the sqaure , you can get fresh fruits and good bakery is close by. This is walking distance from the metro and bus station. There are lots of eating places at reasonable pricing.

Room Tip: Rooms opening in front square are good , if the AC does not work you can open windows.

At best this is a 2 Star Hotet. We always bid on Priceline for a 4 or 5 Star Hotel and this one was the worst ever. The location was good, but that could not make up for the room we received. Told it was a Garden View, turned out to be in the basement with a view of a few scragley plants, no grass, and many cigeratte butts. Nothing good to say about the room except it was an OK size by European standards.

Room Tip: Get a room at a true 4 Star Hotel.

Stayed here beginning of August. Small hotel situated within walking distance of L'Arc de Triomphe. I booked it as a 'secret hotel' based on price and it being a 4*. It isn't a 4*. The rooms are small, albeit very clean. I had seen on a previous review that the air con had been broken so I was dismayed to learn immediately that it was still not working. Even with the window permanently open, it was stifling. The hotel did provide us with a fan. The room was clean however and the maid service was thorough and daily. The ensuite was similarly clean. We did room only so I can't comment on the food.

I stayed here in late July 2013 during a hot spell, and chose it for a Eurostar package on the basis of it advertising that they have AC. It had broken down in the whole hotel at some point, possibly some time ago, and it never got below 28 degrees in my room, even with a fan in the window. While the staff politely commiserated, they offered no discount or any other compensation for not delivering what was promised. Beyond this, the room as expected was small--the windows open inward, but only so far because they bump into the bed; it was fine for me as a solo traveler, but a couple would feel cramped. I had an interior corner room, and the bathroom here was of good size. Whie the decor was a bit worn, everything was clean. The bed was firm, which was good for me. The location isn't right in the middle of most tourist attractions, but it's easy enough to get to them as it's a 5-10 minute walk to the Arc du Triomphe and several Metro lines. It is also located on a Metro line that goes to the north end of Gare du Nord. The immediate neighbourhood has lots of food and drink options. Given the price I paid this hotel would've been perfectly adequate for my short and busy stay (i.e. not spending much time in it except to sleep) had it either not been hot or if it had air conditioning as promised, but this is no four star hotel as everyone has noted, and it clearly relies upon churn rather than repeat business. Given the situation and their response, I felt somewhat stung by the proverbial bad Parisian tourist hotel.
