Our room was the size of a postage stamp. We had no room to put our suitcases. They arranged transportation for us from the airport to the hotel and they never showed up. The front desk staff was not willing to help us, especially Francoise who was the worst. He was so rude.

Do not stay here. You will be very disappointed.

We stayed for 4 nights with 3 other couples. Booked months ago and obtained a good deal via the hotel. The rooms were the cheapest in the hotel on the 3rd and 4th floors but were acceptable if a little small but this is the norm for Paris hotels, They were clean and toiletries were replenished every day as were the towels. Room even had tea making facilities which was a bonus. The lift was pathetic, however, and incapable of holding more than 2 people. We did not book the expensive breakfast but ate every morning in a patisserie close to the hotel. The location is very central and close to numerous restaurants, bars, theatres and shops as well as being next to a metro station. I would certainly use this hotel again as a base for exploring Paris further in the future.

No, it is not a soulless international clone. It is built into a traditional Parisian structure (which, as usual, means the lift is more a vertically mobile coffin- in this case a very small one indeed) but with lovely authentic touches throughout. Very helpful staff, fantastic location near many interesting things, including the Metro, clean and well equipped, and a lot of fun. Our room was high up, but a very good size and with everything we needed. Strongly recommended, provided you are willing to enjoy Paris as Paris really is.

I stayed two nights at Corona Opera Hotel with a friend in May 2014. While the staff were friendly and the location superb, I would not recommend this hotel in the future. Despite paying in advance through the hotel's web site (as opposed to a site like Booking.com), we were given a very small, very disappointing room. I can best describe it as L-shaped - walking in, the bathroom was on the left, and then a long, very narrow corridor on the right that led to an extremely small sleeping space. I know Paris is famous for small hotel rooms, but this was tiny even by Parisian standards. Even worse, the ventilation and air con were by the bathroom, not the sleeping area, so it was uncomfortably hot. While there was no street noise, we could hear our neighbors, as well as the lift.

The breakfast was 12 euro pp/day (a web-site "discount" from the 16 euro charge), which I found high, given the limited selection at the buffet and no coffee service. The staff were friendly, and their luggage room came in handy as our train did not depart until several hours after check-out. While this is an acceptable option in the Opera district, I would likely stay elsewhere in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the central part of the hotel - 1st and 2nd floor rooms on the wings are incredibl...

A girlfriend and I booked this hotel May 2014. We booked direct through the website rather than using a mega-site like booking.com or hotels.com. We prepaid for a room over the weekend and also purchased breakfast for 2 mornings, this was at an additional charge.

Overall the hotel was clean, in a wonderful location, offered excellent service by the front desk staff, and met average expectations. The room we were given was oddly shaped. The air conditioner was at one end of a long hall and the sleeping area did not receive much air. We were uncomfortably warm in the evenings.

While wifi was free, it was very slow and disconnected quickly. We had a router in the room and had to turn it off and on daily in order to renew our connection. The room itself was very small and difficult to negotiate with two people. The pictures on the website did not accurately reflect the room we were assigned. From the floor map it appears that there are several rooms on the 'wings' that are oddly shaped as ours was.

Our room was very quiet during the evenings, however we were able to hear those in the room next to us. The room next to us was built into our room so thee sides of the joining room were inside our room. A very odd, and very poor design.

The bathroom was small, but serviceable and we were provided with the usual bath products and towels. We paid 48 Euros for 2 people to eat breakfast for 2 days. While the breakfast offerings were sufficient, the price seemed steep for a relatively uninspired breakfast. Had we known this prior to booking we would have declined the breakfast and eaten at one of the multiple cafe's in the area.

Overall, I wont' return to this hotel nor can I recommend it to families or friends traveling together.

We are glad that you enjoied the great location of our hotel aswell as the service of our friendly staff. We regret that our hot buffet breakfast didn't meet you expectations in terms of pricing, we also have a continental breakfast plan less expensive.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and it was nice. The rooms were typical for a Paris hotel a little bit small but fine. The bathroom was nice and the room was clean. It is a little noisy at night as there is a restaurant and some other theatre by the entrance to the hotel. We tried to sleep the first night with the window open but it was little loud. The second night the AC worked for part of the night but stopped working at some point because it was really warm in the morning. The wifi was hit or miss in the room which was a little frustrating. We did tell the front desk about the wifi but they said it should be working. The staff was very friendly. We did not get the breakfast at the hotel as there are several cafes in the area. The location of the hotel is about 100 meters from the Grands Boulevard metro station and also a few bus stops. Overall this hotel was a good value for the price and location.

Like other travellers we found the rooms very compact, typical of Paris. It was quite hot at night and we had the window open but the road below was quite noisy, lots of small motorbikes using it as a cut through from one main road to another. So it wasn't the best night's sleep ever.

That aside, it was clean and reasonably comfortable, had a kettle and most other basic essentials you would expect, plus a decent number of proper coathangers. Wifi was a bit flaky and we didn't sample breakfast as it was quite pricey at 16 euros (unless you are planning to make a meal of it). The café around the corner on the main road (Zepyr) did a lovely continental breakfast for 8 euros.

It must have the smallest lift in the world, and they do only have one. We managed, once, to fit four of us in at one time but after that we never tried more than 3. This becomes a bit of a problem at check-out time as a suitcase easily takes up the space of one person so allow plenty of time to get down to reception on the day you leave.

It's central and easy to walk to all the key places from here and did what we needed it to.
