Good hotel and although the rates were on the steeper side, it was cozy and comfortable. The front desk staff were polite and helpful and that added an extra bit of comfort to our stay. It wasn't bang in the middle of the city centre but if you are prepared to walk a bit, there were a bunch of metro stations nearby (10 min walk) which provided easy access to the main attractions. Would recommend this fellow travellers

Dear Megsom,

Firstly, Villa Saxe Eiffel would like to thank you for your commentary

The hotel is located in the center of Paris, and as you said there are three subway stations around which provided easy access to other neighborhoods of the city.

The front desk staff is really touched by your comment and they are avaible to advise or help you for anything you desire.

The hotel’s concept is to make you feel like at home and to provide you the best comfort you can expect, we are happy that you enjoyed it.

During your next stay, do not hesitate to try our tea time on the lounge for a convivial moment after a long day of walk in Parisian streets.

Sincerely

We stayed 3 nights here and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are tastefully done. There are a few minor problems that still needs to be resolved - we found the water in the shower not hot enough but they were not able to sort this out during our stay. There was also a smell in the toilet cubicle that was a bit annoying. But overall, problems were minor and not unexpected given they had only reopened two weeks before our stay. Breakfast was buffet style in the lounge area - limited range of items but perfectly adequate. Location wise, the hotel is in a more residential/business area so very quiet with not many shops or restaurants nearby. Easy access to two metro stations serving different lines so quite easy to get around. Direct view of the Eiffel Tower from the top of the street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A decent choice if you want to be in a quieter part of Paris.

Dear Pilatesboy,

First of all, the staff of hotel Villa Saxe Eiffel would like to thank you for your comment,

It is agreeable to see that you enjoy your stay even if there were some little problems. We took in account your remarks and we are always improving our services to make you comfortable.

As you mentioned, the hotel is located in a quiet area near by the Eiffel Tower and the subway stations.
Our staff can advise or help you to find some restaurants or good place to go at any time.
Even if it is a business area there are some really good restaurants closed to the hotel that we can recommend to our guests.

As you said, the breakfast is an unlimited buffet with fresh products, and now we offer an express breakfast too at the rate of 9€ (one hot and cold drink with croissant or pain au chocolat at your disposal).

During your next stay, do not hesitate to try our sauna and chair massage for a relaxing moment.

I recently stayed for 6 nights at this hotel and overall, it is an excellent hotels. Here is a summary:

- The room is small (but not by Paris standards) but very clean, modern, sleek, and comfortable. There is a huge flat screen TV in the room as well. There is also a small fridge but it was not working well.

- There is a a massage chair and a dry sauna that is available for use 24 hours a day. I used both and thought that it was great.

- There is a nice lounge on the second floor with a huge glass roof where breakfast is served but is open 24 hours a day for you to use, hang out, and use the Honesty Bar

- There is a huge outdoor Farmer's market right outside the hotel on Thursdays and Saturdays from 7AM to 2:30 PM that sells all types of produce, food, and other household items. I went on both days and enjoyed it.

- Breakfast is 19 euros, which is reasonable and the food selection is good.

- The only thing that I did not like is that the hotel is in a residential area where it is very quiet. The hotel is in the 7th arrondissement, where many wealthy Parisens live. This might be a plus for many people, especially if you are traveling with families or as a couple.

Dear HLMN920,
Firstly, Hotel Villa Saxe Eiffel would like to thank you for your detailed commentary,

It is agreeable to see that you enjoyed your stay and the quality of our services. As you mentioned classic rooms are a little bit small, but they are definitely dedicated to your comfort.
We let at your disposal some hi-tech equipment in the room to meet our guest needs. It is very important for us, that you feel like at home, in link with our concept of “honesty bar”.

Moreover, we are happy to see that you liked the sauna and chair massage as well as our buffet breakfast.

As you mentioned, the hotel is located in a quiet area but really closed (10min walk) to dynamic and charming neighborhoods like “rue St Dominique” and at three subway stops (line 13) to Champs Elysées.

A perfect location to satisfy a diversity of desires.

We looking forward to welcome you again,
Sincerely,

We loved our stay! Good location - 7 min walk to the nearest Metro and about 15 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. Very quiet neighborhood. Really nice rooms - comfortable beds, big TV, safe and a small refrigerator. Complementary water bottle every day. The staff was extremely service minded, friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back!

We've been staying 4 nights in the Villa Saxe Eiffel over my b-day. As you see on my profile, I usually don't write comments or rate hotels/locations.
We had a standard two-bed room which was in excellent condition. Our room had a great Flatscreen, a iPhone dock and a wireless phone as well as a little fridge. Everything in the hotel, as well as the hotel itself, seems very new and in brilliant condition. The area around the hotel is pretty calm and safe, ideal for a stroll at night trough the wonderful streets. From the first second, we felt that we picked the absolutely best hotel for our stay. The staff members always took their time to help us with great tips for restaurants, transportation and sightseeing. We've been in countless hotels the last few years all over the world, but the Villa Saxe Eiffel was definitely one of best experiences.
If you consider a trip to Paris, you won't be disappointed.
A big thank you again to the entire staff of the Villa Saxe Eiffel, we'll come back again. Keep up the excellent work.

My 8-year-old son and I stayed here for 4 days over Easter. Before we arrived I had been concerned that I had chosen unwisely and hastily, having spotted various references to the hotel "having a discrete location" and "massages offered". I needn't have worried. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, and we had an excellent stay. Paris doesn't always do chic and child-friendly together, but this place managed it.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and throughout our stay the staff at reception dealt with queries from myself and my son in a deft and friendly manner.

Our room (46) was on the small side but comfortable. It was on the fourth floor, overlooking the courtyard, and afforded a view of the very tinniest tip of the Eiffel tower. Walls were properly soundproofed and the curtains were thick and light-proof, allowing us a couple of much-needed sleep-ins in the morning. There was some renovations in the building next door, but I don't recall them starting before 8am, and they did not disturb us. The only quibble I had with the room was that only one soap was provided on arrival, not two.

Breakfast was a delicious buffet served in the lounge/bar, with viennoiserie, bread, cereal, youghurt, bacon and scrambled eggs, salad and charcuterie. Tea included Darjeeling as well as English breakfast. The service was attentive and discrete. The usual international papers were available for those who liked to read over breakfast. Petits fours and nuts were available later in the lounge for tea and drinks.

The surrounding area was quiet. The nearby avenue de Saxe had a wide strip of concrete down the middle, perfect for walking toddlers and prams on a non-market day. The market arrived on Thursday and Saturday mornings. It had mostly food stalls but some sold food specialities which might make good presents. There weren't many shops in the area, but there were enough small provision shops and boulangeries near Segur metro station for bottles of water and small snacks.

I would recommend two restaurants nearby for a quick evening meal for good food and child-friendly service: Atelier Aubrun on the boulevard Garibaldi, and also La Tour de Nestle on the corner of avenue de Breteuil and the rue de Sevres. Both have English menus.
