“toilet downstairs/ cute place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

Cute place but the bathroom was inconveniently located down a slippery spiral staircase. It was extremely tricky to get your luggage down the small stairs. I'm assuming all the rooms don't have bathrooms downstairs- the hotel should make you aware if you are going to be in one of these rooms. Very inconvenient to go up and down the stairs - the only mirror and sink is in the shower area so hard to get two people ready going up an down the stairs.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your review!
I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy the special stairs, sometimes the decoration has disadvantages, but this room is divided in two parts that creates two different atmospheres in the same place.
Next time you come, we’ll show you all different kinds of rooms that we offer.

Best regards,
Alejandra Wharmby

We selected this hotel based on location whilst looking for something a bit special. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely small hotel situated on a small side street close to Notre Dame. The rooms whilst small (I am told normal for Paris) were clean and very comfortable, but most importantly very quiet. We hardly heard a noise from inside the hotel let alone outside.

The bed I have to say is one of the best I have slept on for a long time. It was so comfortable and the movements of your partner were not transferred. Nice crisp white linen was a great finishing touch.

We chose to include breakfast in the rate which was a good idea. The breakfast buffet is small but with a broad selection of cereals, juices, yogurts, meats, cheeses, pastries, pies ,breads and a selection of hot food in addition. We were more than satisfied with the breakfast and the staff were lovely and helpful.

If you are looking for a big hotel with gym, pool, bars restaurants etc this is not it. If you want somewhere peaceful and well appointed but close to the sites then you can't go wrong.

It was quite a while ago and I forgot to review it. This hotel is right near Notre Dame Cathedral and is near the trains, so it is very well located for the tourist. The rooms are typically quite small by North American standards. The plumbing is a bit old, but the rooms are very well kept and the bathrooms are nice. The exterior of the hotel is what a hotel in Paris should look like - Quaint, small and on a tiny side street. The price was ok and the staff were extremely helpful with directions and guidance. There is a lounge. We were give a free drink on our arrival night. When we ordered a second from their very limited selection, they had to take the glasses from us to wash them as they only had a few glasses!
Based on location and cleanliness, I would recommend this one.

My husband and I spent a weekend in this charming hotel. The room was pretty and a good size. Location was excellent.
The staff were very kind and attentive, especially when my husband became ill with food poisoning from another establishment they allowed us a couple more hours in the room before checking out to give him some time to recover.

Great hotel in great location. Situated near to Notre Dame and close to Metro links. Staff very pleasant and really helpful. Room pretty and spotlessly clean. Great continental breakfast. Small hot buffet and a good selection of meat, cheese, bread and croissants. Also yogurts and lovely prepared fresh fruit. For a great meal out we would recommend Chez Toinette 20 rue Germaine Pilon in Mont Martre. Small cosy restaraunt with great reasonably priced food. Book in advance though especially on a weekend.

Nice hotel in absolutely amazing location - literally moments away from the notre dame. Very expensive considering the bed was very uncomfortable and the facilities quite mediocre. Breakfast not worth the money either. So if looking for great location then you have a winner.

My wife and I spent a couple of dreary January days in Paris at this excellent hotel. From the moment were were enthusiastically and warmly welcomed by the front desk to the time that we had to leave we felt at home.

Thought the rooms are small, as this is a historical building, they are comfortable and well appointed with lots of fine touches and attention to detail. Since this is an older building sound does travel but it is not a party hotel and we were never bothered by noises in the night.

The breakfast buffet was well rounded and serviced by friendly staff.

In less than five minutes from leaving the front door we were sitting in the Notre Dame Cathedral. A huge variety of good restaurants are located within ten minutes walk. The St. Michel metro stop is less than a ten minute walk.
