“Great Paris hotel”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March and loved every minute. Its is a relatively small hotel but each room is decorated to a high standard and is very clean. Our room had a full length door that you could open and enjoy the goings on of Paris and watch people pass by. The hotel is ideally located for all amenities including restaurants, shops bars and the Eiffel tower is 10 mins walk away. The staff couldn't help you enough and explained how to get all over Paris and even supplied us with a map free of charge. Special thanks to Alexi who made us feel very welcome and we will see you soon for that drink.
1 big tip when you land in Paris, use the taxi rank outside the airport for taxi's and don't go with the ones that approach you inside as they are double the normal fare (40 euro's) or alternatively the hotel offer a shuttle service if you ask before you arrive.

My wife and I had a very memorable stay in Paris for a week. The hotel location is highly accessible from both metro and buses. Also, it only took us about 10 min. to walk to Eiffel Tower. You can easily find cafes, supermarkets and stores nearly. My impression was that Dupliex was quite a peaceful district for travellers. Besides, my room was clean, fairly spacious (comparing with the one that I stayed in London) and its deco was kept in a mint condition. Most importantly, all the staffs that I had met were sweet, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were quite lovable, though they were more or less the same everyday. The only imprefection was that, I couldn't find any wine glasses in my room. However, Eiffel Capitol would definitely be my choice for my next travel to Paris.
***Finally, heartfelt thanks for Mr. Yann's eagerness and helpfulness. He has a good sense of humour. I will get back my orange next time when we meet.

Room Tip: Rooms that are next to elevator are used to have a more spacious washroom.

We spent a week at the Eiffel Capitol. It was a nice and very clean hotel, and the front desk attendants were all very helpful, and super nice (hello Voltaire!).
The rooms and bathroom were small, but that's how it is in Paris usually, and the space was well used. The shower was good, and they had some really cute and good toiletries available.
It is close to a subway station, and to an RER (that will take you to Versailles, for example), and close to many museums and sites, besides the Eiffel tower. There was no view, but for the price it was very adequate.
I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: It looks like some rooms are bigger than others, so you may want to ask before you make your reserva...

The hotel is conveniently located just off Boulevard Grenelle, more or less directly opposite Dupleix metro station. The rooms were small (although standard for Paris, or indeed London) but modern and very clean. Staff were all extremely friendly and spoke excellent English (and Spanish). One noticed that I was in Paris for the marathon and was very encouraging and seemed delighted that I'd chosen to run there, which was very welcoming, and the cleaner very graciously asked when it would be suitable to come and clean our room so that she didn't disturb me. Both of these were much appreciated after a gruelling 42km run!

The location is excellent; you can walk to the Eiffel Tower in 10 minutes. The RER station at Champ de Mars is even closer, from there you can take a day trip to Versailles. From Dupleix metro station, you can travel directly to Charles de Gaulle/Etoile metro, or walk a few hundred yards down the boulevard to Motte Piquet/Grenelle station which has an interchange for travelling directly into the city centre, your best bet being to change at Concorde.

Very happy with the stay, the staff and location. Free wifi was useful as well.

Room Tip: It can get stuffy in Paris - the rooms have good airconditioning so make sure to use it if necessary...

We stayed at the hotel 5 nights and I think we won't stay here again (even though the location is amazing). We had some trouble with a front desk person (who made a mistake and then was very rude when he learnt that we spoke to the manager), the rooms weren't cleaned well nor was the bedding (they put a pillow with some nasty brown stains all over it one day), and the breakfast is not worth what it costs.

When we arrived, the person in the front desk told us that our room wasn't ready yet (it was about 1/1:30 pm) and that when we arrived later that night it'll be there for us. We arrived at about 8 pm, they gave us our room key (which you had to give them every tine you went out) and we went up. They gave us a single room (it had one pillow, one towel and one soap (no other toilettries)) instead of the double we had payed for. We complained and were told that there were no rooms for us and that we would be sent to a double room the following day. Needless to say we couldn't sleep much that night, given the size of the bed and the room (when one got up and tried to walk between the bags and the bed, it was near impossible not to bump into something).
The following day we talked to the manager to ask for a refund on the difference of the price the single had vs the double for that night. He told us that because we made our reservation through an agency it was impossible, but that he could give us complimentary breakfast for the rest of our stay (it costed 16€ per person, per day), and expressed that he was very sorry for what had happened.
We were moved to a double room (which had a smaller bathroom than the one we had in the single room, but had a spacious bed and room for us to move around not bumping into anything) which was truly noisy due to the location of it (it had windows to the street), and you could hear all the other guests that were staying around you due to the thin walls.

Regarding the issue with the front desk person: When we were waiting for the shuttle, the person that put us in the single room by mistake spent about 10 minutes inquiring (and bullying) us in the most rude way as to why was it necessary to talk to the manager when the night of the mistake we were already told that we would be moved to the double room on the following day, and arguing that we should have been perfectly ok in the single room 'since the bed was just like the ones from the double rooms' (this was a lie; the bed had a lot more of space). I'd like to thank the manager, though, he was nothing but nice and helpful.

Great hotel in a perfect location...the receptionist was extremely helpful when we arrived, made things clear on what numbers we needed to call if we needed help. Free Wi-Fi, stylish and modern. The bedrooms are quite small but kept clean and tidy, they're bright and colourful and we even had a small view of the top of the eiffel tower!....The location is excellent, 2 minute walk to the Metro and a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower! In our hotel room we got complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner...Hairdryer is already in the hotel room so we didn't need to take our own. The rooms were exactly how they looked in the photos and the staff were extremely friendly!

BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS. Unfortunately me and my partner got scammed of 10 euros by a group of girls who said they were deaf and needed donations....we learnt our lesson!! Also beware of pickpockets on the metro! Keep your bag in front of you and don't keep anything valuable in your pocket!

As we are Vegetarian, we found it quite hard to find places to eat for dinner...the only choices are pizza and pasta. We ended up eating at Italian Restaurants on both nights, which is something we didn't really want to do.

If you can Pre-book in advance for the Eiffel Tower....It will save you A LOT of time! beware of the constant beggers and pickpockets underneath the Eiffel Tower! One of the views I recommend is the view from the Montparnasse, we went at around 10:30pm and it was practically empty and the view over Paris at night is amazing.

We would definitely return to this hotel!!

The hotel is at a great location, with the metro literally next door... Plenty of shops and cafes nearby ... about 15 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower....Rooms are small, but clean and nice.
Staff friendly except for one guy who opened the door to our room at 5am and disturbed us saying that he meant to open the door of the adjoining room!!!!!!!!!!! Careless!!!!!!
